COM 426: SIMULATION AND MODELLING

The course introduces the students to simulation and modeling as the technique of solving problems by the
observation of the performance, over the time, of a dynamic model of the system.

At the end of the course the learner should be able:

a) To analyze computer and communication systems through case studies.


b) To demonstrate understanding of system modeling through the competent use of computer
simulation methods in mathematical modeling techniques.
c) Describe the simulation and modeling process.

5.0 Mode of Delivery


The course will be conducted using lectures, case studies, and group presentations.

6.0. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT

Audio-visuals devices, computers/internet services, journals, newspapers, chalk/pens and white boards, flip
charts and learning centers and a Computer installed with a simulator program
