Product Introduction

Overview
Central Management Server 6.0 is a new wireless-orientate online fleet management and monitoring platform. It
owns nice quality and efficiency centralized and distributed video, audio, GPS, alarm data and other multimedia
information to end-user for real-time remote video surveillance, GPS map tracking, video upload and download,
vehicle schedule, video and tracks playback, voice intercom and alarm alert. t also supports remote data
download and storage, alarm triggering and remote alerts, remote vehicle management, etc.

System Structure

The CMS Server includes 7 units of functional servers:


 Login Server
 Gateway Server
 Media Streaming Server
 User Management Server

 Remote Client Monitoring Server

Users have the option of deploying 1 or 2 of the 7 Functional Servers stated above such as, Login Servers,
Multiple Gateways Servers, Media Streaming Servers, and Multiple Users Management Servers to provide Mobile
DVR and Remote Client Services and features as GPS Location, Video and Alarms.

Description of Functional Servers

 Database Server: Used mainly as Storage Server, Configuration information and Alarm events. The database
server application used is MySQL-5.5.12 - Win32.
 Login Server: For registration of various servers and to coordinate and manage registered servers, Assign
User Clients, Configure End Management Server, Allocation of Gateway Server for MDVR devices, User
Management, Gateway Servers, Server Load Balancing.
 Gateway Server: Provide vehicle access. Vehicle Gateway Server is used to establish a communication link
between the MDVR device and the server, sending vehicle location and status information via this link.
 Streaming Media Server: Provides media data forwarding function. Including Audio and Video, Intercom,
Remote Monitoring, Remote Capture, Configuration parameters, Search and forwarding Download data.
 User Management Server: Provides Remote Client Access
 WIFI Auto Download Server: When within the assigned access point range, the WIFI enabled MDVR will
automatically upload the video files onto the server.
 Web Server: Provides GIS electronic map information, and provide links to the CMS Backroom Control center,
Front End management system login.

Client Application:

The client provides real-time video preview, GPS position, electronic map track, vehicle status, image capture,
video search, video download and playback, vehicle tracking playback, real-time alarm information monitoring,
alarm statistics, vehicle configuration parameters and others.

CMS allow users to login the system via many channels, like Web Client in any OS, CMS Client, IOS and
Android apps. So users can control their own fleet via many channels.

Media Streaming Server

Performance Specifications

Each Streaming Server can distribute 256 channels of video with bandwidth of 128Mbps
at the same time.
Access Limit Each CH video limit 6 users to view online, and the max bandwidth is 512Mbps at the
same time.
Gigabit Ethernet ports, 20Mbps output streaming delay is less than 5ms
Gigabit Ethernet ports, 100Mbps output streaming delay is less than 40ms.
Gigabit Ethernet ports, 512Mbps output streaming delay is less than 200ms.
Video Bandwidth
Standard resolution at full frame @ CIF will need 320Kb/s, 256CH requires 320 X 256 =
Network 81,920 Kb/s at the same time.
Resource MDVR Sub Stream only supports CIF and QCIF now. Users can reduce the frame rate
and image quality to reduce the network burden.

This system is only for standard system solution. If your fleet has different requirements, you should contact
our sales and support teams to ask for a suitable solution suggestion.

CMS Server Installation


Remarks:
Users should contact our sales or visit our website to get the latest edition of CMS server. Unless there are
serious bugs in earlier edition, we will not notify users to update the new edition.

if your server pc has existed a CMS server V6 but a earlier edition, you can directly install and upgrade the
new version of the CMS server V6. Usually no data will lose.

1. Double Clicks to run CMS Server V6 installer.

2. Select the language: English or Chinese. Different edition will have different default choices, but usually
English system should display English as default

3. You will see the notice interface to remind you exit other software, especially some anti-virus software.

4. Choose the path of installation.

5. You can enter the displayed name in your Start Menu. Any Name is OK.

Finally, lunch the CMS server control panel.

Initialize Server V6

Step 1: Install and activate the mysql database.


The CMS Server V6 installer installs mysql automatically. Users don’t need to download and install MySQL
again.

Click Next to initialize database.

Step 2: Configure the IP in each server.

Software will auto detect the LAN and WAN IP in the server PC. The Internet address must be public IP. User
can test at office or home if the IP is dynamic.

Step 3: Choose the communication port.


User can select 80, 88, 8080 or 8088. If the port has been occupied by other software, user can change the
port.

Step 4: Finish the installation.

User will see a ReadMe TXT file with all important information you need.

CMS Server default ports are shown in the following list. If the Server start a firewall, please ensure the
following ports are opened in order for all necessary services. Otherwise users cannot login and manage their
fleets.

Server Registration
Unregistered CMS V6 allows user can control 10Units of MDVR with full functions. We offer free register code
for clients for their orders. Users should copy the server signature and send to local supplier to get the register
code. After active the server access, user can manage all fleet with our wireless MDVR. There are little different
between unregistered and registered edition except MDVR quantity.

The license allows users to operate such functions:

User can enter such server PC IP or Public IP address or information to login the management webpage.

If the web port is not 80, or 80 has been occupied by other software, users can change the port to 88/8080/8088.
In this case, users must add the port information with the login IP or information.

Database Configuration
The CMS Server V6 has included MySQL, so users don’t need to download and install or uninstall it. CMS will
connect and initialize the database automatically.

If the server pc has install MySQL, users can configure the right user name and password and port to active
the database, otherwise all services will stop running.

DIY Tool
New CMS system allows users can build their own style interface. Users can decide what will be displayed in
the login webpage and CMS client, and also decide what their clients will see when login.

WAN IP Configuration
CMS will auto detect and recognize the public IP of the server pc, so users just need to click next. But if the IP
is not active or user want to test in LAN only, user can reset it. If the public IP is not static, users should change it
timely both CMS server and MDVR. The change will be effective in all CMS services in server.

WEB Port Configuration


New CMS offer more options of web login port than before. Now users can choose 80/88/8080/8088
according to the actual instance.

The default is 80. It is better to login. Other ports will allow users to login CMS with the port information.
Please read P.16.

WIFI Download Configuration


Users can configure the storage path for auto downloading so that they can find the quickly. And control the
quantity of downloading at the same time.

In the downloading status tap, users can learn all important details about the downloading files.

SMS Configuration

Users may need to be alerted by SMS when some important even occur. New CMS offer such an option to
active this function. Users also need to prepare a SMS Alarm Modem. Any modem is acceptable. Users just need
to connect the SMS modem to the server PC. Then setup the right port and baud rate and no. Then they can use it
to send any SMS.

The alarm must be connected with SMS first in CMS client, otherwise no SMS will send out.

SMS is different from TTS function in CMS, it allow many users can receive SMS from the same server to their
phones. But TTS is for drivers who are prohibited to answer phone or read SMS. TTS can transfer SMS to voice. It
suitable for emergency notice, like weather, earthquake,

Email Alert Configuratioin

CMS also offer Email alert for users. Users need to config their email client information here first and linked
the alarm with Email alert.

Remarks:

User must enter the effective smtp information. And this email id and password will be shown in the CMS.

Storage Server Configuration


Configure the file path in each disk. Disk C will not selected as default And user can select overwrite old files
or not when full.

Snapshot State will show the status of image snapshot as schedule in snapshot plans. User can login the web
control panel to setup it.

Record State will show the status of online recording as schedule in storage plans. User can login the web
control panel to setup it.

Remarks: The storage will record online video streaming with lots of 3/4G Data plans.

Users should select the specific server first, and then click stop or start.

Home Tap

There are 5 taps on the control panel page: Home, Download, Question, Chinese and Tradition. The display
images can be configured in DIY of Server Configure interface. Download allow users to get all necessary software
and apps. Question for FAQ but not active now. Others are optional languages. User can translate their own
language if they want.

Login CMS Server


The default administrator id and password is “admin”. Users should change it asap. Please remember the
changed password in safe pages. Otherwise you cannot login the system unless reinstall the server.

There are 6 taps on the administrator level control panel. Home, Client, Device, Status ,Server and logs.
Administrator has access to add client, device and inquiry logs and setup servers.
The Homepage will show all device and users and servers online and offline summary.

Configuration Diagram

Company Management
Administrator should add their clients’ manager ID, so they can only manage and control their own buses.
Administrator can create or delete any company ID and vehicles, but only company administrator ID can decide
how to manage vehicles and their end users’ ID.

After create company manager ID, administrator should distribute or sales devices to each company rightly.

Add Devices.
Users should add the devices first, and then sale selected devices to other company client.

Users can add devices by single mode or multi-mode.

 Add: Single Mode. Users can add the device by the device ID. It is unique in the whole system.

 Batch Add: User can add multi-devices by batch add mode. Here users can fill the starting device ID and
count quantity, and then it will add relative numbers of devices. E.g. If count is 30, the added vehicle will be
30PCS. And the ID will be from 00001 to 00030.

 Export Vehicle to Excel:


This option is for backup vehicle information.
 Import Vehicle from Excel:
Restore the vehicle list to server. User can edit the file but cannot change the format.

End Users Management


Login the web control panel. All new user passwords are 000000 as default. Users should login the Webpage again
to create different access level and user roles first, and then divide their buses into different groups at the first
time. If they want to setup it by theirselves, you had better to show the demo how to create and manage and
delete. And give their user id and password.

Administrator can create or delete company administrator IDs, but only company administrator can change their
password in the left top of CMS client. Please read P.26 to get the account ID.

User Authority Management:


Here users can create roles with different access level. Here you can appoint different access according different
users’ demand too.

Add Example Roles.


Managers can control and adjust their end users’ access according to actually demand. If end users can not realize
some functions, please ensure you appoint enough permissions for his ID.

End User Management

Company users can create their end users’ ID. Then appoint their access level as different roles.

Multi-Login for Demo

When you create a ID for demo only, you can select the Multi-login, then many visitors can login your demo
system at the same time. They can not change the password.

Without this option, visitors can change their password, and you can not change it again unless you reset it to be
000000 as default.

Appoint Devices

Managers ID can control which MDVR or buses can be monitored by this ID. Without this option, users can
login CMS client but can not see any vehicle or MDVR online.

Devices Management
Here company managers can configure all important setups about the devices, include vehicle information,
device groups, fence alarm, snapshot plan, record plan and alarm management.

Vehicle Parameter
Basic Parameters: Managers can edit each device information with more details about the vehicle, driver and
alarm IO and special modules. More details will be more helpful to manage the whole fleet online.

Channel Parameters: User can definite a name for each channel of cameras. So it will be easy to search and
download video or images from device or server. Users should follow a same rule when connect cameras to
MDVR.

IO Parameters: MDVR offer 6-8 IO inputs, users should take full use of IO so that they can easily get what they
really want to record. It will improve the huge video management and reduce unnecessary work. IO will realize
rich alarm to definite each video, so you can quick find the video file following the alarm info and event logs.

Temperature: Currently MDVR only offer temperature of MDVR itself. If you want to monitor other temperature,
like oil tanks or other important cargos, you should add a temperature sensor on the cargo or housing. Then we
will replace the MDVR temperature source by external temperature source.

Modules: MDVR can add such modules to realize some important functions. But users should contact sales first to
learn these function details.
 Oil Sensor: It will detect oil lose and sent alarm.
 Oil Control: Cut oil supply if your vehicle is lost.
 Elec Control: Cut Electric if your vehicle is lost.
 TTS: CMS can send SMS to MDVR through 3G/4G. Drivers / Passengers can hear SMS reading.

Device Group
Managers had better to build different groups for their fleet. Otherwise it will be difficult to manage. Then
managers can directly appoint a group to one user ID. It will be simple to control and distribute access.

Here managers can directly add, edit, delete groups, add or remove vehicles to any group.

Fence Alarm Management


Geo-fence allows users to configure linked alarm for user-definite zone, route or point. Users should configure
the fence in CMS client first.
Company Managers can not configure fence alarm, only end users can configure specific vehicle.

Snapshot Plan
Users can setup MDVR auto snapshot cameras in schedule.

Mode: Circular and Independent.


Circular: MDVR will snatch one channel by one channel at the same interval term.
Independent: MDVR will snatch all channels at the same time at the same interval term.

Interval: 60-9999seconds.

After save, you can see the plan list for each vehicle.

Remarks:

Before configuration of snatch plan and storage plan, admin must add relative vehicles into storage server like
below.

Record Plan
Users can configure record plans by CMS online. Record plan is not backup recordings in MDVR, it must cost 3G
data plans and record online. Whether you open the image or not, it will spend 3G data plans quickly if the plan is
active.

Alarm Management
Here users can configure the way to get alert from CMS. And users also can decide what and how alert send to
your email or mobile phone.

Not all alert are available in your MDVR. Specific alarm alert must be confirmed with sales.

Device Upgrade
When MDVR is found serious bugs, users can get the latest firmware to update the device whether it is running in
bus or not.

Remark:
Any upgrading will meet venture. If during upgrading, the network loss or the power is off or engine stop, the
MDVR will lose the firmware and cannot boot normally. Then users must return the MDVR to factory to burn the
firmware again.

Device Configure Parameters


User can setup most of parameters in MDVR. User don’t need to enter information by remote except center IP
and device ID and date and time.

3G Monthly Data Plans Configure

User can configure the monthly data plans to control running cost. Default is closed.

3G Data Plan Statistics

This allows users can learn the monthly data plan timely. User can export the result into excel to make reports.

Check Vehicle Information

Here users can quickly learn the MDVR and vehicle and driver relative information to manage big fleets easily.

TTS Voice

CMS can send TXT content to MDVR by 3G/4G. MDVR need TTS module and speaker.

Tracking Map
Users can monitor vehicle in Google map online, if the MDVR has GPS and 3G/4G module. The Google map
supports satellite, streetscape, bus stop and others. User also can use map info with authorization.

History Tracks

Users don’t need to keep watching every vehicle all the time. CMS allow users can playback all vehicles driving
tracks. However, users only can find the online GPS data. And users cannot search offline GPS tracks.

Record Management

FAQs

1. Vehicle is Offline.
A. Please check such values in the MDVR first
(1) Device ID: Whether it is registered in CMS Server.
(2) Center IP: Whether the IP is public IP.
(3) Port: 6608 only
(4) 3G antenna is connected outdoor.
(5) Dialup: Whether dial up is successful.
B. Please check such values in the CMS Server.
(1) Whether administrator adds this device ID into fleet.
(2) Whether all services are running normally.
(3) Whether this user ID has access into this vehicle.
(4) Whether admin add this device into storage server.

C. Please check Network


(1) Whether port forwarding in router: 6608-6612, 80/88/8080/8088
(2) Whether add rules of such ports into firewall.

2. Vehicle is online, but users can't see the real-time image of it?

Solutions:
Ensure users have the right to watch this vehicle's video first. Then users should use CMD command to telnet
public IP and relative ports.

3. Failed to obtain vehicles information, equipment parameter information


Usually there are 3 reasons
(1) The 3G connection of equipment and CMS server is lost suddenly;
(2) Wireless network rate is poor;
(3) MDVR don’t turn on 3G module.
