10.life boat davit tests

Ans:
For oil tankers both CLC -oil and CLC - bunker insurance are reqd.
bunker insurer will pay when clc-oil convention does not apply (non-
persistent oil, ballast condition ) and the limitation of liability is reached for
one insurance. Basically both insurer will pay as reqd.

A-7 Incinerator documents

For incinerator - operating manual should be there onboard.
- type approval certificate should be there.
Incinerators are to be type approved as per MEPC 76(40) standard. The test
is done in the factory by the R.O. on behalf of administration . Certificate is
issued by either R.O. or the administration directly( USCG in US).
Type approval is checking whether the system is made as per the specified
standard. In case of incinerators temperature and air pressure is to be
maintained as specified. If the equipment is operated maintaining the
specified parameters we can ensure it will not pollute.

Can anybody explain pressure testing procedure for CO2 cylinders.

pressure of CO2 in the bottle? Upto what pressure is it tested?

Cylinders are hyd tested with water with high press pump.
CO2 capacity 45 +/- 0.5 Kg, Bott test pr 250 bar, storage pr 58 bar, safety
