NATIONAL VIRTUAL – INSET 2021

REFLECTION/INSIGHT

DAY 1

Today’s situation hindered some activities and programs in the school to happen especially the face to face
instructions that I think is still the best way to transfer learning. It also limits the productivity of the learners when it
comes to output-based performance. However, the first day of the INSET gave me the assurance of the learning
continuity to happen also at its quality of delivery. Although asynchronous and synchronous teaching are already
being done in our school, the session gave us the great deal to subdue the overlying situation when it comes to the
delivery of instructions.

The use of online and offline platforms in teaching is a great way to build learner’s confidence that amidst the
pandemic, learning takes place in any possible way.

DAY 2

The second day of virtual training gave me the opportunity to learn new things and improve my skills in video editing,
however in a very short period of time. I need enough time to learn and practice this craft because I want video
lessons to serve as a learning tool for my students.

I realized that there are a lot of learning materials that can be found in the Deped learning portals and also
Multimedia accessories that can be used for the delivery of lessons.

As a teacher, there is a need to craft a contextualized learning materials to better serve our learner’s individual
abilities.

DAY 3

Understanding one’s personality is the key to smooth relationship. No two individuals are exactly alike. Likewise, we
need to understand one another in order to build a harmonious connection with our colleagues. In this 3rd day of
INSET, I better apprehend the differences that will have in a group of people especially in my school where I belong.
Whether someone is dominant, many are influential, with steady personality is numerous, few are corrective, the
thing is when everyone smoothly drives in the same way and taking the steps unanimously, then, we call it the best
place to work into.

This day also, I was reminded of not trusting anyone with regards to personal things or private files.

DAY 4

Mobile applications are great tools for interaction to come out from the learners. We say, 21st century is an ICT
dominant age, where when a child clicks then he/she finds what he/she is looking for. That’s why I believe,
introducing educational mobile application for learners would be necessary to add avenue for learning acquisition.

Other chatbot and educational apps for learners should also be provided to ensure that there is other display place to
learn.

DAY 5

The ETUlay is a great approach to reach out learners online and offline. This can enhance the ability of the learners
of being ICT skilled individuals. There’s always a way to feed the young minds with the skills that need to be
developed in order for them to become globally competitive.

Many online platforms are ready and always available. These programs serve as a bridge to cross the way and reach
every Filipino learner. Para sa bata, para sa Bayan! Sulong Edukalidad!
