Cenacle Prayer: Spirit of The Living God

CENACLE PRAYER
Heavenly Father, let me join the joy of the Psalmist who said, “I was glad when they said
to me, let us go to the house of the Lord.” This afternoon, we are gathered here as a
community. And we thank You for the priviledge of coming together for a few hours to listen to
Your word, to give You thanks and praise and to honor and worship You. We invite Your holy
presence amidst us this afternoon. We believe in Your promise that if two or more are gathere
in Your name, there You will be. We need Your presence Lord and we ask the Holy Spirit to help
us claim this place and free us from any negative influences as we pray the Prayer to Take
Authority.
Loving Father, we surrender to You our boidies, minds, hearts and spirit. Come unto us,
take over our entire being. We surrender to You all our thoughts, our faults, our weaknesses
and out difficulties. We ask Your Holy Spirit to help us put aside our cares, our concerns, and
our work. We need to be with us in this place. Holy Spirit, impart to us the gift of love, peace,
joy, understanding, and hope.
The Gospel today recounts a major event in the life of Jesus. More so in the lives of
Peter, John, and James, for they were able to witness the Blessed Trinity, the voice of the
Father, the divine glory of the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Spirit in the shining clouds. I know dear
God, that this experience is not exclusive for Peter, James, or John for I too in my life have
experienced the glory of the Lord in the little miracles that happened in my life. Help me to be
able to listen to Your voice, be receptive to the calling of the Holy Spirit and put into practice
what I learned. Help me to follow Your will, I ask for Your healing presence. I don’t know how
and when You will touch me. I only know You are with me. Lord, You supply my needs, You give
me peace and You are my peace. Let me pour out my troubles to You each day for You always
listen, udnerstand, and care. You give me the strength I need. I know Your healing rpesence is
with me right now. I yield to You O Lord, I give You full control of my entire being. Continue to
surround me and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.

To rest on us, and to empower us to work through us

and to reveal in us, Jesus the King, Jesus the King, Jesus the King
Father, the challenges in this life when we deal with our work, our family, and our
community oftens overshadows the importnat message that the Holy Spirit wishes to convey to
us. The desire for material things and being ambitious delays Your plan for us to be part of Your
eternal kingdom in Heaven, as we trade conscience for convenience. When we rationalize our
sins and make them conformed to what we want to happen yet knowing it is against Your law,
when we turned a blind eye to those who are in need. And when we forget our covenant with
You, Father, and slip back to our old habits. Father, we offer all these erroneous thoughts, this
lack of priorities, these unchristian thoughts and this weakness of faith. Remove them from us
so we may see what You want us to see. Help us start anew. With the forgiveness You grant to
all who ask for it, for all we, like sheep, have gone astray.

Lord thank You for answering our prayers, for You are indeed good and there is none
like You. You are our light and our salvation, we will fear no one. You are the creator of the
Heavens, the Earth and the seas, and all that is in them. You always keep Your promises, Lord.
We proclaim Your greatness, our God and our King. Your greatness is beyond udnerstanding.
How good are You Lord, how merciful, how forgiving, how compassionate. You heal the
broken hearted and bind their wounds. You are great and mighty Lord. Your wisdom cannot be
measured. You are just. How awesome is Your name O Lord. You are king O jesus. You are
Emmanuel. You are the king of kigns and Lord of Lords. I worship You, we adore You.
Throughout eternity, I’ll sing Your praise for You are the joy of my desire and there is none like
You.

Psalm 50:14 says, “Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God, and give the
almighty all that You promise. Call to me when trouble comes, I will save You and You will
praise me.” Thank You Lord for the daily blessings. Our health, family, livelihood, friends,
community, and the trials that strengthened our faith and increased our courage. Thank You for
this country, you;ve given us much natural resources and You have shielded us from many
natural disasters. Thank You for Your continuous presence in our lives, for always being there.
For always beign within reach, patient, forgiving, compassionate, and loving. Thank You for
Mama Mary, for we always feal her loving presence. Yes O Lord, I will bless Your name til the
end of my days.
