PROFILE

I have over 25 years experience working as an SAP Basis Engineer having previously qualified as an
Electronics Engineer. My electronics experience encompassed the design and build of various Electronic
Circuit Boards down to components level as well as wiring looms and Automatic Test Equipment. I have
also worked as a Test Engineer; fault finding and repairing various faults. I retired a couple of years ago
but now find I need to keep mentally active after a bout of illness.

My first position after graduation was working for a firm in Aylesbury; first as a pcb assembler then
moving up to assisting the chief design engineer. The company made bespoke digital communications
equipment and my role involved the use of various test equipment such as signal generators, multimeters
and oscilloscopes to test and confirm their operation. After leaving the firm I joined a company in
Windsor involved with the making of Automatic Test Equipment and was involved with the design of
systems to test and verify the operation of the very first IBM PC as well as other microprocessor based
systems. My next role was in Cirencester working in a similar role but this time on the design and testing
of ticket machines for buses. Again I used a variety of equipment such as oscilloscopes and test meters
but also developed in-house jigs to aid in the testing process. Thereafter I worked for Research Machines
in Oxford verifying the operation of their IBM PC variant. I then moved into the Systems space with
Assembler programming and then higher level programming with 'C' and spending time as a Unix
System Manager and Oracle DBA. Throughout this time I maintained my skills with PCB soldering and
fault finding.

I have worked on systems at the board level, producing wiring looms and even soldering prototypes from
circuit diagrams or fault finding and repair. I have also

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Lead Basis Consultant for implementation of SAP Social Care module for Staffordshire County
Council Redesign of BASIS environment and procedures to recover failing implementation of a
new SAP module. Rebuilding of production environment from historical transports for CRM and
BI systems.

Lead Basis Consultant for SAP development and successful go-live for American multinational
company in France, Eire, Brazil and the UK. Management of development environment.
Implementing strict controls and building of production environment. Design and implementation
of user access profiles/roles.

Lead Basis support for development and successful go-live of Norwegian multinational company.
Responsibility for the entire SAP BASIS environment from development through to production.
Working with third party support to allow them to take over support of the systems.

Lead role in the successful migration to new hardware platform.
