Overview
51Talk is proud to release the much awaited Teaching Improvement Tool which will allow PHBEEs to
take ownership of their performance, help identify areas of improvement, and track their success
indicators in the platform.

The tool will help teachers better integrate into the 51talk platform, grow continuously, get more
classes and earn more money in the process.

Lessons

• There are 4 categories with a total of 16 indicators.


• Each category has corresponding points which a teacher can gain or lose depending on how
he/she performs in the platform.
Performance Dashboard
• Teacher’s current overall score
is 97.5.

• Base Score: 72.3 for teachers


within 90-day tenure and 70.3
for > 90-day teachers.

• History score shows your score


from the previous days.

• The score refreshes at 7:00


am. daily

• Status in blue indicates the


good points.

• Status in red indicates what


needs to be improved.
Category 1: Training
• Be H5 trained and certified, get +0.5
point

• Be JK-12 trained and certified, get +0.5


point

• Be SK-12 trained and certified, get +0.5


point

• Finish the TESOL training, get +1 point

Complete all and get +2.5 points on your base score


Category 2: Activeness
• Average Days of Opening Slots in Advance
– Open your teaching slots 14 days in
advance and get higher chances of getting
booked.

• Weekday Peak Hour Lessons – Open more


than 45 slots during weekdays from 7:00
pm to 10:00 pm to get +1.5 points. You can
get +3 points if you open more than 55
during weekday peak hours.

• Weekend Peak Hour Lessons – Open more


than 35 slots during weekends from 9:00
am to 10:00 pm to get an additional +2
points. You can get +4 points if you open
more than 60 during weekend peak hours.

Open slots in advance, exceed the number of peak hours slots and get
+7.5 points on your base score
Category 3: Attendance
• Notified Absence Records – Be reliable to
avoid 0.5 point deduction.

• Non – notified Absence Records – For


absolute absences, report at least 2 hours
before the lesson time to avoid 1 point
deduction.

• Late Record – Be in the AC room at least 3


minutes before the lesson time to avoid 0.1
point deduction.

• Leave Early Records – End the lesson on


the 25th minute to avoid 0.1 point
deduction.

Keep a perfect attendance to avoid 1.7 points deduction


Category 4: Effect
• Complaints – Follow 51Talk’s teaching standards to avoid getting
complaints. 1 complaint is equivalent to 1 point deduction.

• Positive Feedback Records – Always provide quality lessons to


receive more positive feedback from your students. Get more than
70 positive feedback from your students to have +11 points.

• Positive Feedback Rate – Refers to the number of positive


feedback you received from your students in the past 30 days. You
can get +0.5 points if your positive rate feedback is higher than
0.95.

• Newly Added Favorite – Refers to the number of students who


have added you in their favorite list for the past 15 days. Have more
than 23 favorites to get +2.2 points.

• Total Valid Favorite – Refers to all valid students who added you in
their favorite list. Valid students are those whose account has
balance and can still book classes. Get more than 500 valid f
favorites to earn +6 points.

Always give your best in every lesson and get +19.7 points on your base score
