VIRTUAL IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS

1. Attached is OUA Memorandum No. 00-0321-0063, dated March 4, 2021 on the

above-captioned title, the contents of which are self-explanatory, for the information and
strict compliance of all concerned.

2. In line with this, the submission of project proposals for the School-Based In-
Service Training (INSET) for Teachers, announced in the Division Memorandum No. 052,
s. 2021, is hereby repealed, to give way to the aforementioned virtual training initiated by
the Office of the Undersecretary for Administration.

3. School heads are directed to create an effective mechanism to monitor the

participation of their teachers to the said training. Likewise, all teacher-attendees are
instructed to answer the Google form: https:/ / tinyurl.com/ 202 1-CO-IN SET on March
25, 2021 and to attach a copy of the Certificate of Participation issued by the DepEd-
EdTech Unit, for Division monitoring and documentation.

4. DepEd Order No. 12, s. 2021 entitled, Amendment to DepEd Order No. 030, s.
2020 (Amendment to DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2020, School Calendar and Activities for
SY 2020-2021) is still in effect; hence, all schools are directed to address the learning
gaps for the 3rd and 4th quarters through the creation of School Intervention Plan.

5. On Day 1 of the said INSET, prior to the official time of the CO-Program
Management Team, schools are requested to meet their teachers from 8:00-8:45 a.m. for
the conduct of the school-based preliminary activities including discussion of issues and
concerns at hand. Likewise, on Day 5 at 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., School-Based Closing Program
shall be conducted for further instructions and agreements.

6. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

Subject: VIRTUAL IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR

PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS (MARCH 2021)

In line with the DepEd Order No. 012, s. 2021 (Amendment to DepEd Order
No. 030 s. 2020), the Information and Communications Technology Service -
Educational Technology Unit (ICTS - EdTech) will conduct a virtual In-Service
Training (INSET) for teachers on 15-19 March 2021. This five-day session aims to
further expand the participants' skills and knowledge on different digital teaching
materials, systems and approaches that are useful in delivering quality instruction.
Kindly refer to the attached Training Matrix and schedule of activities (Annex A).

The said activity shall be streamed live through the Official YouTube Channel
of the DepEd EdTech Unit at www.youtube.com/c/educationaltechnologyunit .
The virtual INSET will also use the DepEd Professional Development Learning
Management System (PD-LMS) to assess the participants and shall follow the "No
Output, No Certificate" policy.
