This school year 2020-2021 brought a lot of
changes especially in delivering the quality
education. This is a very big challenge to us, as
an educator we are in test to give what we can
for the for betterment of our learner’s
education. For this, DepEd introduced the LDM
Course. This course provides knowledge to
deliver education to learners in this new
normal setting by using Self-Learning Modules.
Teachers reached this far and were able to
cope up with the challenges and demands they
are facing in this distance learning situation
because of the learning we gained in LDM
Course.
This Practicum Portfolio contains MOV’s that I
have used in this school year in delivering my
lessons despite of this pandemic. And help me
understand different learning modalities which
can augment and continuously deliver the
quality education in preparing our learners in a
wider perspective of education.

ANNOTATION:
I always contact my pupils and parents for feedbacks and
follow-ups. I gave simple examples and explained to
them clearly. I also developed instructional materials like
worksheets with easy examples suited to the level of my
learners.

ANNOTATION:
Some of the parents find it hard to get modules and pass.
Since most of the parents are working and mothers are busy
at home. For those students who have internet connection I
send it online and for those who don’t have I initiate to form
a group leader in a certain area specifically one of a learner
parent and drop the module to him/her for fast and easy
distribution the same thing if I gather it. The group leader is
of great help in delivering education this time of pandemic.

ANNOTATION:
Though we are not in a face to face set-up, I always make a
Performance Tasks where they can showcase their creativity
(drawing, making slogan, composing a sentence), skills
(dancing, creating a poem, rap, singing) so they don’t find
my lessons boring. I also provided video lessons and sent it
in our GC as their reference especially if they don’t get the
lesson explained in the modules.

7.4. Professional reflection & learning to improve practice

LDM Course helps us to assess our strengths and


weaknesses. This helps us to gain knowledge, skills
and mindset that are necessary in this new normal
set-up. It helps us to ensure the quality of learning
that we will provide to our learners despite of this
pandemic. At first it’s difficult, but we need to cope
up with the changes we have in order to survive. This
changes also is an opportunity for us learn more. To
be creative and innovative in implementing this
distance learning.
ANNOTATION:
It was stated in my refection that LDM is a great help for me in
identifying my strengths and weakness. I was able to realize how
difficult to deliver quality education in this time of pandemic but as a
teacher I must do all my best to deliver quality education in order for
education to survive in this time of pandemic.

calls and chats. I sometimes meet them via video messenger
and other social media platforms. I also checked their
outputs, summative tests and performance as the basis in
making their grades.
