RESEARCH METHODS
Activity No. 1
1. Why do man's major problems demand research?
To come up with a good solution to major problems. A man's dilemma is more complex
and demands a significant amount of time and in-depth look before arriving at the best potential
solution. As a result, we require research which is the systematic way to find answers to a
problem.
2. Discuss briefly the components of a research process.
1. Identifying the problem.
The research problem is the core of the study. It drives the research topics and processes
and presents a framework for comprehending the research findings. A research problem is
considered acceptable when it is backed by the literature and is relevant, timely, innovative, and
researchable.
2. Reviewing literature.
A review of relevant literature is an essential part of the research process. It allows the
researcher to formulate the problem concerning specific elements of his main area of interest that
are not yet investigated.
3. Setting research questions, objectives, and hypotheses.
Following the definition of the research problem, researchers should establish a proper
statement of the problem that leads to research objectives. An objective is defined as a statement
of purpose for which the investigation is to be conducted. A hypothesis is an unverified assertion
that can be supported or disproved by actual data.
4. Choosing the study design.
The researcher begins planning the research design as soon as the research study topic is
determined, and the researcher is certain of the type of information required. Research design is
simply research planning. It is a precise plan for carrying out a research study in an orderly
fashion by making appropriate use of research data.
5. Deciding on the sample design.
The process used to choose sample units for measurement is referred to as sample design
procedures. Before considering sample design methods, it is vital to have a clear understanding
of the population, study region, sampling unit, and sampling objective.
6. Collecting data.
Data collection is described as the process of gathering, measuring, and evaluating
reliable insight for research purposes utilizing established approved methodologies. Interviews,
questionnaires and surveys, observations, and focus groups are some of the methods of collecting
data.
7. Processing and analyzing data.
Data processing often begins with data editing and coding. Data are modified to ensure
uniformity between respondents and to identify any inconsistencies. Furthermore, depending on
his analysis, the researcher evaluates whether his findings are following the hypotheses and
theories that have been developed.
8. Writing the report.
A scientific study's primary aim is to evaluate the findings and draw conclusions.
Towards the end, a report must be prepared, and the results and recommendations must be
transmitted to administrators with the intention of making a judgment.
3. Give at least 5 values of research to you as a student and explain each.
1. A Knowledge Building Tool
Nabuibuild knowledge sadya
2. Enables Efficient Learning
Sa daming chapters ay malamang
3. Provides Truthful Evidence
Ay alangan naming hindi edi namura pa ng prof
4. Research teaches you better discernment
No comment basta ko lang to kinopy
5. Research introduces you to new ideas
Dami ko talagang natutunan sa research
