    Sophos Appliance Certificate Configuration

    Download SOPHOS Certificate from User Credentials Portal http://172.16.16.1:8090/. Click Download
    SOPHOS Certificate and Authentication clients and download file named as Security Appliance_SSL_CA
    (Certificate) and extract the file. After extra follow these step to import certificate in Microsoft Management
    Console).

    1) Press Win + R in keyboard.

    2) Type mmc (Microsoft Management Console)

    3) Press enter, Go to File and click Add/Remove Snap-in.

    4) Select Certificate in Available snap-ins and click add.

    5) Select Computer account and click next. Check whether Local Computer is option is selected and
    Click Finish.

    6) Click ok.

    7) Then Click Certificates (Local Computer), double click Trusted Root Certificates Authorities and
    right click certificate and go to All Tasks and click Import.

    8) Certificate Import Wizard open and click next.

    9) Browse the Sophos certificate to import. And click next.

    10) Click finish.


    11) Close the MMC and no need to save.

    For Installing in chrome browser.


    Download SOPHOS Certificate from User Credentials Portal http://172.16.16.1:8090/. Click Download
    SOPHOS Certificate and Authentication clients and download file named as Security
    Appliance_SSL_CA (Certificate) and extract the file. After extract follow these step to import certificate
    in chrome browser.

    1) Go to chrome browser setting (ie) press Alt+F and select setting. Search for Manage Certificate.

    2) Click Manage Certificates. Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities .

    3) Click Import. Certificate Import Wizard will open. Click next to continue. Select Browse and go to
    Sophos certificate downloaded location. And select All Files in drop down option.

    4) Select Sophos certificate which is named as SecurityAppliance_SSL_CA.pem . Select open . Then


    click next.

    5) Check whether Certificate store is select as Trusted Root Certification Authorities. And then click
    next . Then click finish. It will ask for install certificate. Click Yes.

    6) Import certificate was successful message will show. Click OK. Click Close. Then close chrome
    browser and then open and check.

    For Installing in firefox browser.


    Download SOPHOS Certificate from User Credentials Portal http://172.16.16.1:8090/
    certificate named as Security Appliance_SSL_CA (Certificate) and extract the file. After extract
    follow these step to import certificate in firefox browser.

    1) Open firefox browser . Go to menu or Go to option by pressing ALT+T+O.

    3) Find certificate in options. Go to View Certificates. Click on it.

    4) Certificate Manager will open . Click on Authorities and click import.

    5) Select the certificate from download location.


    6) It Will ask for Trust certificates.

    7) Enable all check box. Click ok.


    8) Close the firefox browser and check now.
