Greg and Henry are at the grocery store*. They want to make a salad. What do
they get?

* A "grocery store" is a small store where you buy food. A supermarket is a big grocery store.

Count nouns are things you can count. They can be singular or plural nouns.
Non-count nouns are amounts. They are singular nouns.

Notice: The non-count noun cheese does NOT change. It stays the same.

Count Non-Count Example
