3-1 Introduction

Service Information is the information that service engineer should know when he carries out
repairing the equipment as well as some useful information.

3-2 Assignment of CTRL key and those usage

To function assigned commands, you need to input [CTRL] key and some keys. If the optional full
keyboard (EU-9133) is installed, press [CTRL] key and the specific key at the same time with full
keyboard.
If full key board is not installed, press [Keyboard] switch on operation panel then press [CTRL]
key with virtual keyboard displayed on LCD touch panel and then press the specific key with
virtual key board.

● Caution ●
Those commands include erasing user data, make a back up beforehand
executing commands when necessary.

All stored user data in internal hard disk will be erased and be back to factory default.
The message below will be displayed when input the command. Press [OK] to execute.
After initializing, you need to reboot the system by yourself.

It is necessary to shutdown (reboot) the system after displaying this message

Erase all patient data stored in internal hard disk. The message below will be displayed when
you input the command, press [OK] to execute. After erasing data, the system will reboot
automatically.

message below will be displayed when you input the command, press [OK] to execute. After
erasing data, the system will reboot automatically.

preset setting when you input this command..

Enter Maintenance menu when you input the command at Preset list screen. About
maintenance menu, refer 3-3.

3-3 Maintenance menu

Maintenance Menu is the function that supports service engineer to carry out
repair/maintenance work as well as upgrading the software. This function is not
open for the general users.

● Caution ●
You need to turn off the power to disable the maintenance function.
Make sure to do cycle the power after using the maintenance function.

3-3-1. How to enter Maintenance menu

If the optional full keyboard (EU-9133) is installed, press [CTRL] key and [ S ] key at the
same time with full keyboard.
If full key board is not installed, press [Keyboard] switch on operation panel then press
[CTRL] key with virtual keyboard displayed on LCD touch panel and then press [ S ] key with
virtual key board.

Normally this S/N is input at factory. You need to input when you exchange HDD (In case 
upgrade /repair by changing HDD) 

o Input S/N except ‘M’    ex) M00100 Æ 00100 

* You can NOT change S/N when you reboot the system after inputting S/N. 

• Checker´s Name: 
Name of service enginner who input the S/N of the system. It can be changed at anytime.

1) User’s Data Back-Up

You can handle data by group stored in internal hard disk.

[Back-Up Data Save]


Following data can be stored together to external media.
- All Preset data
*Except network setting such as Local IP address
- All Patient database
- All images (Single data and multi data)
*Except data stored in CD-R Buffer, Local HD2
- Other data stored in internal hard disk.

[Back-Up Data Restore]


Restore the data stored by [Back-Up Data Save].
2) Version Up

Execute software version up. Refer Procedure sheet of each kits for detail procedure. All user presets
and condition of Package software (Open/Lock) continue after version up.

※You may need to prepare external FD drive or USB memory.

3) Package Software

Open/Mask Package software with key media such as Floppy dsik. Refer Procedure sheet of each kits
for detail procedure.

※ You may need to prepare external FD drive or USB memory.

4) Printer Installation

Install Printer driver for connecting external PC printer. You need to prepare a printer driver which you
want to install in USB memory, then follow wizard of Printer driver installation given by Windows.
Refer User’s manual of each printer for operation.

o Preparation
ƒ Download the suitable printer driver from CANON website.
File name: ip4500svst211ej.exe
