Steps in writing a biography;

1. Select the individual you want to write about

2. Search for the basic facts that relate to a person’s life. The encyclopedia or almanac
could be handy at this.
3. Think about the details to add in the biography which can bring out clearly about the
person’s life. Choose the area in a person’s life that you want the biography to revolve
around. Some guiding questions that could aid you in this include;
o What’s the most interesting bit about the person?
o What is the significance of the individual to the society and the world in
general?
o What qualities or adjectives will be best suited for the description of the
individual?
o What actions or life events bring out the qualities or adjectives chosen above?
o What life events or world events shaped the individual or brought out the best
in them?
o Did they face obstacles or take some risks in life? How did they handle the
obstacles and did they happen to be lucky?
o What impact did they have in the world? Did they add value to the way people
view certain aspects of life? Did they come up with a thing, idea or way of
action that transformed the way things are handled or rather done in their
societies or world in general?
4. Carry out some additional research on the internet to answer some of the questions
mentioned above. Ensure that you find information that will help you tell a story that
many will love.
5. After getting everything in order, you can proceed to write the biography. We have

Harry Edward Styles was born
in Redditch, Worcestershire on
1 February 1994. He is the son
of Anne Cox (née Selley) and
Desmond “Des” Styles, who
worked in finance. Many of his ancestors were farm WH

11 April 2010, Styles auditioned as a solo candidate
for the seventh series of the British televised
singing competition The X Factor, singing a
rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely”.
He failed to progress to the “Boys” category at This part

Direction, in June. Styles wrote the song
“Someday” in collaboration with Meghan Trainor
for Michael Bublé’s album Nobody but Me,
released in October.
In March 2017, Styles announced his first
solo single titled “Sign of the Times” and the song
was released on 7 April, reaching number one on
the UK Singles Chart. An accompanying music
video for the song directed by Woodkid was also
released, featuring Styles levitating and walking on
water. The song was variously described by critics
as pop rock and soft rock ballad with glam rock
influences.
His self-titled debut album was released on
12 May 2017, whereupon it debuted at number one
in several countries, including the UK, the US, and
Australia. The record was heavily influenced by
’70s soft rock and was described by Variety as a
“classic cocktail of psychedelia, Britpop, and
balladry”. It received generally favorable reviews
from critics and was included in several
publications’ lists of the best albums of 2017.
