Managing other peoples' money is difficult because of the burden of accepting their cash and returning
gains/losses. Consequently, many people do not ask others to manage their money for them – it's a "big
ask.” The barriers to entry in creating a fund are high.

protoFi solves this problem with its app by allowing users to create "fund" portfolios that other users can
directly invest in.

When a user invests in another user’s “fund” portfolio, a portion of their portfolio will automatically make
any trades the owner's portfolio does, mirroring the manager of the portfolio they’re invested in. This is the
same thing as investing in a mutual fund; however, the owner of the fund never touches its investors’
money or takes on the operational burden that comes with it.

Users can also follow people without investing in their portfolios. The platform's social aspect will allow
users to communicate with one another about their thoughts on the market and investing strategies.
Uber disrupted the taxi industry by connecting two parties – the driver and the rider. Not

only did they connect them, but they also invented new technology that made it easy for

anyone to become a taxi driver (growing the market). protoFi is like Uber. We are

connecting two parties – the fund managers and the investors, and have invented new

technology that makes it easy for anyone to become a fund manager.

Before Uber, the taxi market was very fragmented, with tons of taxi companies

competing for riders. Uber consolidated the entire market and became THE place for

drivers to find riders. protoFi plans to consolidate the entire wealth and fund

management markets into its platform and make it THE place for fund managers to find

investors.
