    Subject: Extension of validity of AEO certification for ease of renewal process –


    Amendment of PN.91/2020- reg.
    Attention of the Importers, Trade , Customs Brokers and all the stake holder is invited
    to para.5.1 of Circular No.33/2016-Customs dated 22.07.2015 amended vide Para.viii of
    Circular No.03/2018-Customs dated 17.01.2018 , relating to “Validity of AEO Certificate”,
    which read as under :
    “The validity of AEO Certificate shall be three years for AEO-T1 and AEO-T2, and five
    years for AEO-T3 and AEO-LO”
    2) In view of Circular No.27/2020-Customs dated 02.06.2020 read with PN.91/2020 dated
    07.06.2020, the validity of all the AEO certificates expired/expiring between 01.03.2020
    and 31.05.2020 , was extended to 30.06.2020 . In view of Circular No.31/2020-Customs
    dated 30.06.2020, “the validity of all the AEO certificates expired/expiring between
    01.03.2020 and 30.09.2020 has been extended to 30.09.2020 , except for those entities
    against which a negative report is received during this period” .

    3) All trade associations/members of Customs Brokers Association are requested to take


    note and publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members/constituents.

    4) For the departmental officers, this may be treated as Standing Order. P.N.91/2020
    dated 07.06.2020, stands modified as above.
    5) Difficulty, if any, faced in implementation of this Public Notice may be brought to the notice
    of the Additional/Joint Commissioner of Customs, Import, ACC, Mumbai.
