Choose an organization active in the broader aviation/ transportation/ tourism industry (this could
include airlines, airports, aircraft/engine manufacturers, hardware producers, software companies,
aviation services companies such as Ground Handling, Catering or Maintenance operators,
Government/industry bodies, professional services companies, Hotel Chains, Car Rental Companies,
Tour Operators, Cruise operators, etc…).
Using the Framework for Corporate Strategy proposed by Tribe (1997) and used across this module,
describe the strategy of the selected organization and offer your original analysis on its effectiveness.
Note: you are required to agree in advance with the module leader the name of the organisation subject of
your report
This assignment has been designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your
achievement of the following module learning outcomes:
LO 1 Critically analyse the internal and external factors of an organisation using appropriate theoretical
frameworks and tools
LO 2 Identify and develop innovative strategic recommendations
LO 3 Apply and align organisational strategy with corporate and social responsibility
LO 4 Demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for personal leadership development in a strategic
management context
Task requirements
• Your work should use approximately 3500 words -/+10%.
• Use Arial 12 with 1.5 line spacing
• Organise the text in sections to make it easier to read
• Include table, graphs, charts, drawing or photos as you deem appropriate
