I. Introduction

Pots are one of the oldest human inventions ever made.

Pottery has existed way back in the old times, dating around
29,000 BC since before the Neolithic period. These clay-made
material has been made for various purposes: for storing
items. In Egypt, it was used for storing the remains of the
deceased, others are for storing valuable items. Pots are
decorative piece of artwork because paintings can be used as
an element to produce a design to its exterior surface.
Nowadays, pots have been used for storing as well as a
decorative artwork for your place.

In this day and age, pollution has been global crisis

due to the threat it poses to every country in the world.
One of the main causes of pollution is plastic bottles are
bought around the world. In addition to that, plastic
bottles leak pollutants into our soil as it undergo
decomposition. Another activity that is considered
detrimental to our environment is the burning of wastes.
Usually, farmers burn rice straws in the field after
harvesting. This act emits large amounts of pollutants and
toxic gases into the air. The same thing can be said with
wood shavings which are a by-product of wood used in
construction and furniture making.

The main aim of the study is to create a pot out of wood

shavings, rice straw, and plastic bottles. It aims to help
lessen pollution through the usage of recyclable materials
in pot making, therefore eliminating the chances of burning
waste products that add up to air pollution. This research
project consequently aims to promote environmental awareness
and recycling of materials and also to produce a durable
pots which is both accessible and affordable for the masses.

Through the findings of the study, the current

environmental issues specifically the uncontrollable amount
of garbage in the surroundings can be resolved. By utilizing
recyclable materials, it will consequently help lessen the
pollution in the community. This study will also help
individuals who want to decorate their homes to save money
since these pots are considerably cheaper than the
conventional pots most commonly bought by people.

II. Research Methodology

This chapter presents a description of the research

design, research locale, description of respondents,
research instruments, data collection procedure and
statistical treatment used.

Research Design

In this study, the researcher used experimental research

design. Research in experimental design is conducted with a
scientific approach, wherein a set of variables are kept
constant while the other set of variables are being measured
as the subject of experiment (Adi Bhat, 2019). Experimental
design is the process of planning a study to meet specified
objectives. Planning an experiment properly is essential in
order to specify that the right type of data and a
sufficient sample size and power are available to answer the
research questions of interest as clearly and efficiently as
possible (Salsa, 2015)

Research Locale

This study was conducted at respective homes of the

researchers due to the emergence of the pandemic thus,
people are notified on not going outside to be safe against
the virus. The study was performed with the use of gadgets,
internet and Social media.

Research Instrument

The researchers decided the use of online survey

questionnaire as a research instrument in gathering the data
needed in the study. The first part of the survey form was
the profile of the respondents, their name (optional), age
and sex.

III. Product Introduction

Product is the heart of the market. People nowadays are

interested in plants. Wherever house you go, you will see
collection of different plants such as cactus, succulents
plants and other indoor and outdoor plants. Apart from that,
not only plants are collecting by some people but also pots
that can put their plants there to grow. Unique plants pots
that can make your plants become more presentable to the eye
of the viewer. Therefore we decide to create a product that
can be bought by numerous number of consumers. We created a
plant pot that is made from a rice straw, wood shaving and
plastic bottles. We come up to this kind of product to the
reason that we want to introduce a high quality and
environmental friendly plant pots to the consumer. The study
began with the preparation of mold , afterwards the material
needed for the study were collected including the rice
straw, wood shavings, plastic bottles and resin binder. The
materials were gathered within the community and the resin
binder was bought in a hardware shop. The third step is the
mincing of wood shavings, rice straw and plastic bottles.
The wood shavings, rice straw and plastic bottles were
minced seperately with the aid of machines. Plant pots have
a variety of uses, such as moving plants to new areas,
starting seeds, outdoor and indoor plant growing, and
developing tender plants in colder indoor places.

A. OPERATION MANAGEMENT
To control, utilize, and supervise manufacturing and
production processes and service delivery the business needs
to have different areas of operation management such as:

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

The main focus of quality management is to meet

customer’s satisfaction and expectation about the product.
It is a crucial part of running a successful business. It is
typically based on a set of principles adopted by a firm
that define how the business will prioritize and achieve
quality. In producing Dayami Polywood Pots, it mainly helps
first the environment because the main material is plastics.
We will make sure that it is in a good quality with a lower
price. Consumer’s will definitely like for it’s good
quality, eco-friendly, beautiful aesthetic design and also
budget friendly. One part of quality management is quality
control wherein the process of testing products and
services. This can be viewed as the process of increasing or
standardizing the value of outputs.

The following are the estimated cost of all the materials

needed to produce Plant Pots Recycled:

Particulars Total Costs

Rice Straw P 150.00 (per

sack)
Wood Shavings P 200.00 (per
sack)
Plastic Bottles P 210.00
Molder P 100.00
Resin Binder
Blender

C. Marketing

Promotion will be the way for introducing the product to

all of the people and especially to the target customers.

We are going to put our advertisement on social media

platforms because this times of pandemic many Plantitos and
Plantitas look for something that would make their plants
more beautiful online so they would see on their feed that
this bases would be useful for them and we are going to put
on the description that this bases are from recycled
