Introduction
EOS Utility (hereinafter EU) is software for communication with your EOS
DIGITAL camera. By connecting the camera and computer with an System Requirements
interface cable, you can download to your computer images saved in the Contents
Windows 10 (Version 1607 or later), Windows 8.1,
camera’s memory card as well as set various camera settings or shoot OS
remotely from EU on your computer. Windows 7*1

Connecting the Camera and Computer Introduction
To download to your computer images shot with your camera, you will 1D X Mk III R RP M6 Mk II
need to connect your camera and computer using an interface cable.
Before connecting your camera and computer with EU’s Wi-Fi/LAN
connection pairing function, see “LAN Connection with EU” (p.10). 1 Connect the plug of the cable into the computer’s

Select the Start menu [Settings] [Devices] [AutoPlay] Reference
In the window that appears, locate the pull-down menu
under the name of the camera connected to the computer and
set it to [Take no action].
After confirming and adjusting the settings, set the camera’s Index
power switch to <OFF>.
To start up EU, you must connect your camera to the same USB
port as when you confirmed and adjusted the settings.
To use another USB port, confirm and adjust the settings again.
With 1D X Mk III 1D X Mk II 1D X 1D C 5DS/5DS R
5D Mk IV R 7D Mk II , you can fix the plug to the camera
with the cable protector to prevent the plug from disconnecting.

By clicking the [Format] button in the viewer window, you can
initialize the card to which the images displayed in the viewer
window.
In step 2, you can batch checkmark several images in sequence. Index

< Shift > key and click the last image, and [ ] will be
displayed. By clicking the [ ] button, the selected images will
be checkmarked in a batch.

In an HDR environment, images shot with HDR PQ set on the
camera are displayed as HDR PQ (10-bit) images also in the
[Quick Preview] window. For details on an HDR environment, see
“Remote Live View Display when HDR PQ is Set” (p.84).

DLO lens data for lenses available at the time of releasing the
camera to the market are all registered to the camera. However, it
will be necessary to download DLO lens data and register the data Contents
