Effects Of Organic And Inorganic Fertilizers To The Fertility Of The Soil

Specific Questions:

1. What are the effects of organic and inorganic fertilizers to the fertility of the soil?
2. What is the nutrient content of the soil before and after the experiment?
3. What are the effects of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth of pechay in terms of
number and color of leaves?
4. Is there a significant difference in the soil nutrients before and after the study?
5. Is there a significant difference in the growth of pechay between the two fertilizers?

Significance of The Study

This study will be undertaken to find out the effects of the two fertilizers: organic and inorganic
to the fertility of the soil.
Benefiting are the various sectors as follows:
Farmers
The direct recipients of the output of this research are farmers. This will increase their
knowledge about fertilizers which will help them in choosing the best option for their plants and crops.
The Environment
This study will be very beneficial to our environment. Both organic and inorganic fertilizers have
their own negative and positive effects; through this research, we will get to learn what these effects are
and what and which is being affected.
The Society
This research benefits the society and its people. It is beneficial to our environment so it is also
beneficial to not only the people, but also animals and other creatures living in it. This will also give the
society better plant and crop products when farmers choose good fertilizers to use on them.
Scope and Delimitations
This study is focused on determining the effects of organic and inorganic fertilizers to the
fertility of the soil. 6 seedlings of pechay plants will be used; 3 for organic and the other 3 for inorganic
fertilizer. Same amount of soil are used in each of them. The plants are watered same time, 4 in the
afternoon everyday with the same amount of water.
The organic fertilizers used will be banana peels and egg shells. As for inorganic fertilizer,
ammonium sulfate will be used. It contains 21% nitrogen and 24% sulfur. A moderate amount of
ammonium sulfate is mixed with water which will then be poured into the pechay plant.
The effects will be seen depending on the growth of the plant. Conditions that will be looked
into are as follows:
a) how many leaves would sprout;
b) how healthy the vegetable will be;
c) and what is the color of the leaves.
This study will be conducted in June to July of the year 2021 at the residence of one of the
researchers starting on the preparation of the different materials needed and the growth and products
of the pechay plant.

Related Literature
Inorganic fertilizers are related to discount in a few soil residences and crop yields over time.
Application of natural fertilizer has high quality consequences in preserving the soil residences. The
presence of some of acids withinside the soil, which include hydrochloric and sulfuric acids, creates a
damaging effect on soil noted as soil friability. ... As the chemical substances withinside the
chemical fertilizers destroy soil crumbs, the end result is a quite compacted soil with decreased drainage
and air circulation.
Compost and other natural fertilizers were suggested to improve soil nutrient levels,
as fertilizers offer a equipped supply of carbon and nitrogen for soil microorganisms,
improve soil structure, lessen erosion, lower soil temperatures, facilitate seed germination and
increase soil water retention capacity. Organic fertilizers improve crop growth with the aid of using
supplying plant vitamins which includes micronutrients in addition to enhancing physical, chemical, and
organic houses of the soil, thereby imparting a higher surroundings for root development with the aid of
using enhancing the soil structure
The mixed use of inorganic fertilizers and natural manures greater the inherent nutrient
imparting capability of the soil and additionally advanced the bodily residences of the soil, which
promoted higher rooting, better nutrient and water uptake with the aid of using the crops, and
expanded the seed yield of soybean.
