    hash runs but the route is well tions or Lusaka Road and then turn into Baricho Road.

    marked. you will find Hola Road (where Choices Bar is),

    Despite the threat of the heavens opening with a heavy thunderstorm the deter-
    mined 15 or so hashers gathered at Cabanas raring to go. Gather around shouted
    Honey Bee a whole 5 minutes before time. Why the haste? maybe too enthusiastic
    to exercise the rare authority as the acting GM, RA and in her own right the re-
    corder.

    After the usual announcements off we went towards Peponi road, past a ‘’Mukuru kwa
    njenga’’ type of human settlement. Children in the slums joined the hashers and the
    adult men got entertained watching the well endowed Harriets pass by with all man-
    ner of comments. Sample these- Hawa Wamama wamebeba sana hata wakimbia
    mchana wote hayo mafuta yao mengi hayawezi kwisha.

    Just before the new Muthaiga shopping centre in Thigiri we turned right and headed
    to Karura forest. The meandering route through the forest seemed endless with
    the tall grass and mud slowing everybody down. It was however a sight to behold.
    Kenyans should forever be grateful to Wangari Mathai for saving this nature’s mas-
    terpiece for posterity.

    At last we came out near the Belgian Embassy on Limuru road and on on to Muthaiga
    shopping centre where we had the one and only split. The long turned left towards
    Mobil plaza while the short went right and back home to Cabanas Westi.

    Down Downs…

    First to get punished were the horrible five (Horney Scavenger, Vuta Pumz, Adopt a
    Dik and …. who else ) for delaying the down downs as they watched Man U tore apart
    Chelsea. Next on the firing line was Baboon for harassing his brothers in the forest
    and also for deliberately and mischievously manipulating his walking and running
    speed to remain a metre behind Wikileaks and Honey Bee. As a result he has now
    permanent images of the duos middle anatomy. Last to get down down was Horney
    ambassador for trying to rig 200 runs on Sunday which were far beyond the 165 to-
    tal Sunday runs.

    The hares were rewarded and the wankers feasted on goat meat, Ugali and Mukimo
    courtesy of Horney Scavenger as Baboon and Anthrax thrilled the wankers on their
    escapades during the Arusha run. Naomba Kumaliza
