Achivements – Trouble Shooting
HBIS a large chinese company set up a new wire rod line at Handan
plant to produce high carbon steels. They tried to roll 5,5mm but
unfortunately only cobbles went out from the line.
As soon as I was there, a new line set up was provided to technicians.
As a new 5,5mm rolling campaign started, 500t were produced in 12
hours time.
IRO rebar italian company decided to produce stainless

steel rebar also. They tried by themself but unfortunately
cracks appeared during rolling of AISI S32304 duplex
grade.
As I arrived in the company I provide a new balanced
chemical composition that turned out to be resolutive.
A well known Indian stainless steel producer detected lot of surface cracks after
rolling bars of AISI 420 grade.
A visual inspection of continuously casted blooms showed where defects came
from.
Ruipu Technology, a branch of chinese Tsingshan Group

detected lot of surface defects on stainless steel wire rod, they
called “black lines”. They could not determ the reason of it
and hundreds of tons were rejected at final inspection after
pickling.
I explain them reason, origin and countermeasures to take to
get rid of such defect.
A well known Indian company encountered lot of surface
defects such as burstings, while rolling wire rod of AISI 303
stainless steel.
I found the precise position where the defects were born and I
provide solution.
Primetals sold a new rolling mill to chinese Yongxing Special

Stainless Steel Company.
While rolling duplex grade ER2209 cracks appeared after
roughing stand.
As I was there, I was able to find the reason of such cracks
and provide solution.

stainless steel hexagons and rebar either wire rod and bars.
I have brought all appropriate technological knowledge such as suitable chemical composition, rolling tools,
procedures and standards to allow the success of the project.
