LESSONS LEARNED:
Subject teaching arts is significant to youth and adolescents, from
primary schools up to tertiary. It can help children develop their social and
mental skills. For young children, primary school is a place that not only
teaches how to read, write, and add numbers, but to socialize, and build
healthy friendships.

There are basic elements of arts that was used in this drawing and
those are: color that makes this output alive, form that convey ideas or
emotions to viewers, space it refers to the distance which includes a positive
background; lines which are explicit in the drawing which add the beauty of
art. Meanwhile, the principles of design used are balance which makes design
in a composition stable; rhythm movements are achieved by repetition,
profession and continuous line movement. Thus, elements and principles of
design that was used are significant to attain a beautiful master piece we could
ever have, without them art would probably a dull one.

CHAPTER NO.2
LESSONS LEARNED:
Chapter 2 portrays values of art education. From this chapter, I learned
the values of art, cite significant examples to the realization of value, and classify the
different values of art education.
It says that values art has a universal appeal for children. It makes them feel
attracted, eager, derive satisfaction, and benefits from it. Moreover, the following are
values of art; aesthetic awareness, totality of experience, individuality,
expressiveness, inventiveness and resourcefulness, and freedom. They differ from
each other in terms of characteristics and meaning, but they are all significant in the
values of art education. Meanwhile, there are theories of art. One is cognitive theories,
believed that children draw what they know. Second is psychoanalytic theories,
believes that children draw what they feel, not what they know. Another is perceptual
theories, believe that children do not draw what they feel, but what they see. Lastly,
perceptual delineation theories, believes that children draw as they do.

inspire countless creative thinkers.

Lesson learned:
As I read comprehensively this chapter, I was able to identify the
competencies of an art teacher, and valued the importance of having these
competencies especially when dealing with diverse learners. Indeed, those are crucial
in teaching pupils, it will help pupils to cope with lessons and eager to learn art
education. Moreover, these competencies is a great influence for pupils to inculcate in
their minds that teachers are trying their best to give them a better and conducive
learning.

As an art teacher, one of my qualities is I want to learn something new
about art and have fun doing it. With this king of quality, I can encourage my
students to love and make interest in what they are doing. Second, I want my
students to feel comfortable and encouraged practicing self-expression. This
quality is what I am want to impart my students for them to pursue their
willingness of art. Next is dedicated, being dedicated is a mark of affection.
Being committed is being responsible. Having such quality that I could impart
to my students entails effort and time to do what they love. Hence, per
mentioned qualities that I have are only partial of my unique qualities of mine.

Lesson learned:
This last chapter aims to evaluate and discuss the scope and sequences of art
elements from first to sixth grade. It is said that art has been present since the
beginning of civilization which is essential for human to live and communicate.
Moreover, art is an expression of distinct way of thinking, communicating, reasoning,
and worshipping. Arts helps us develop our creativity, and find solution which is good
for us to cope and surpass and challenges that the world could bring us. Therefore, art
is a way of life that no one can take away from.
