i) Well-planned and executed career programmes will benefit both the


organisation and the employees in a number of ways. Discuss in detail with
examples in a chosen organization how such programmes are implemented
clearly outlining their benefits and or risks to the organization.

Career planning consists of a few steps. These stages help a person create a career plan and
make decisions about his or her future. The process of career planning is referred to as the
career development stage.

Career Planning's Benefits


The Human resource department should make employee career planning a priority. They
frequently do career planning since their human resource strategies outline the organization's
future employment requirements and corresponding career choices.

1. From Employees' Point of View:


Employees place more value on career planning for the following reasons:

An individual can ensure that the work content he enjoys through better career planning.

Career planning aids an employee's knowledge of the different career opportunities accessible
within a business. A person understands ahead of time what level he can achieve, as well as his

his abilities and capabilities.

a number of means. This self-development centered on a certain work path propels the individual

Career planning is also very important to the organization for the following reasons:

Successful companies place a premium on developing new managers from within through
promoting from within. Internally, for developing managers, there must be a well-planned career
route for each manager, and each manager must be developed to efficiently follow this path. In
this light, organization-wide career planning becomes a necessary pre-requisite.

guarantees them a bright future. Effective career planning can help with this to a large extent.

v). Protects the Interests of Special Employee Groups:

An organization is responsible to society as a whole because it is a social entity. As a result, it


must look after those social groups that are in a vulnerable situation. Women, the weaker
sections of society, the physically challenged, ex-servicemen, and others are examples.

d) Lack of Scope in Some Jobs – Individuals' career progress is limited since they are unable to
advance despite possessing the necessary abilities and having a well-planned career path.

decreased.
