The COVID-19 disease outbreak has taken a major impact across the world
among nations and individual, from all aspects of life. More communities are
under lockdown, non-essential businesses are being forced to close, and
public areas are normally avoided by consumers. It has also prompted
countless quarantined Filipinos to use the internet to earn money, contributing
to boost in online businesses.
those who are doing business needs to comply with their tax obligation
through electronics means and register to the bureau. This is similar to
another memorandum released seven years ago, which listed the Philippines
most popular business transaction. such as the Shopee and Lazada shopping
platforms; and online auctions.Arreola(2020)Currently, the Philippines does
not have any special laws allowing for the taxation of online
transactions. However, under the National Internal Revenue Code (Tax Code),
the imposition of tax does not differentiate between firms with a physical
presence and those with a virtual presence only. Online transactions should,
therefore, be taxed in the same manner as traditional ones. If a taxpayer likes
to.

One of the most important lessons that the pandemic has taught us is that the
internet has become increasingly an important business tool. There is no
question that the digital economy in the Philippines and overseas will continue
to flourish with the high level of convenience it provides to customers and
increasing technological advances. The rules governing the taxation of
transactions on the internet or online must be transparent, easy and
equitable, so that taxpayers can easily choose to comply with them.

are anticipated to go online in this year to come, especially for the categories, such as
fashion and consumer electronic. Therefore, retailers will have to think other ways of
acquring growth.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the investigation of established drivers of online
purchasing behavior is of great relevance, as businesses must anticipate consumer
behavior to maintain a competitive edge during this global crisis.Koch, J.,
Frommeyer, B., & Schewe, G. (2020).
According to their analysis, the findings indicate that normative determinants such as
media reporting on the economic situation are linked to the buying intentions of
customers, while they are not related to the normative impact of near social
networks. In addition, they find out that hedonic motivation is a better predictor of
purchasing intentions than utilitarian motives and that people who practice social
distancing, generation Z and women's exhibit a high rates of hedonic
motivation. They also offer guidance for e-commerce businesses on how to resolve the
purchasing motivations of customers and strategically manipulate normative factors.
