01A-GE1-WK11-PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY

Art Recall

Instructions: When was the first time you realized that there is a higher being than yourself? How old
were you then? What made you believe that there is a higher being?

-I mean that I don’t believe that there is any type of benevolent God looking out for me, or any of us. I
don’t believe that the miracles of nature necessarily had to be crafted or designed by anything other
than nature itself. I know for a fact that I am an ethical and moral being who cares about doing good,
but I don’t feel that way because God says I should or because it is a path to heaven after I die

- I was 10 years old when I entered the catechism and there I met god and our teachers or
brother or father taught us. From the time I became a sacristan from now on I still serve him and
my faith is strengthened.

03A-GE1-WK11-ANALYSIS, APPLICATION AND EXPLORATION (Activity 11)

Instruction: Write a reflection essay on Viktor Frankl’s Sources of meaning of life with a minimum of 100
words. Here are some questions that you may want to answer and help you with your essay:

· What can you say about his philosophy?

- Philosophy courses give you more than just knowledge of the world; they give you a deep
understanding of how the world works, even how it should work.” “Studying philosophy, I learned to
analyze closely and critically, to question thoroughly, and to write and think rigorously.

· Which one/s do you agree most? Explain your answer.

- My philosophy on life is that you should live while you are alive and you should give others that
same privilege we. Should judge people for the choice s they make ,because we all make bad
decision. You should do what you want with your life, as long as it makes you happy and cause
no harm to other

· Have you found yourself in a situation that made you question your life’s meaning? How did you
go about it?

-think we all start off lost as children because we grow up being molded by our parents, other family
members, the school system, peers, government, tv, popular music, and religious systems. You don’t
really know your self until you get older and learn what you are and what you really like. So I would say
the situation that made me feel lost is life itself here on Earth while growing up, and how I found myself
was through time trial and error, also by being spiritually awaken.
· At this point in time, what do you think is the meaning of your life?

-Life is meaningful, they say, but its value is made by us in our minds, and subject to change over time.
Landau argues that meaning is essentially a sense of worth which we may all derive in a different way—
from relationships, creativity, accomplishment in a given field, or generosity, among other possibilities.

04A-GE1-WK11-GENERALIZATION

To sum up what you have learned in this module, reflect and answer the following questions:

1. Can you now demonstrate critical, reflective thought in integrating the various aspects of self and
identity?

-Self-discipline,Self-Love,Positive thinking ans trust

Explanation

-For me,that is the best answer. U should discipline, love, trust yourself and think positive through so u
become a successful person

2. Have you identified various religious practices and beliefs?

-Agnosticism. Agnosticism is the view that the truth of metaphysical claims regarding, in particular, the
existence of a god or gods, or even ultimate reality, is unknown and may be impossible to know. …

Atheism.

Baha’i.

Buddhism.

Christianity.

Humanism.

Hinduism.

Islam.

3. Did you understand the self in relation with religious beliefs?

-You cannot understand self if you start believing and making up stuff from your imagination. What you
imagine always comes from your experience and memory, which is limited.
When you believe you are making conclusion without knowing the truth and that kills any desire to
know. Only when you accept “you don’t know” the possibility of knowing arises. Meditativeness is far
better path for knowing self than any religion, as it is experiential without requiring you to believe in any
God or dogmas.
