the humps on the back of the body. NOTE: I STRONGLY suggest you pin
this piece and every other piece on before you sew the pieces together, to

head.
Eye: (Make 2)
Using White
Rnd. 1: ch5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 2 ch, 3sc in next ch, (working on
opposite side of ch5) sc in next 3 ch, 3sc in last ch, join w/sl st, ch1 (12)
Rnd. 5: (2sc in 1st sc, sc in next 4 sc)4x, sc in next 7 sc, 2sc in next sc, sc in
last 2 sc, join w/sl st, ch1 (35)
Rnd. 6: (2sc in 1st sc, sc in next 5 sc)4x, sc in next 8 sc, 2sc in next sc, sc in

Rnd. 7: (sc in each sc), around, join w/sl st, F/O (40) leave 10” to sew eye to
head. First make 2nd eye. Now place the 2 pieces side-by-side, sew the middle
together (the flat side which is the “next 8 sc” side), sew 12 sc together. Add the
pupil using Black and a simple in and out stitch. NOTE! Your pupil needs to be
on the bottom of rnd. 3 on the eyes. (Refer to next picture). After you have the
eyes complete stuff each eye individually and place eyes on the head between
rnds. 10 & 25 on the head. Pin the eyes in the middle first. Now pin down the
rest of the eyes. Make sure the middle of the eyes line up with the top of the
head and are on the front of the head. Keep in mind the back bump and sew
the eyes on the middle of the front of the head, in comparison with the back.
When sewing the eyes on pin the middle of the eyes to the head by sewing
directly down the middle, to keep the eyes separate. Refer to picture:

Eyelid:
Using Pumpkin
(Note: When working in rows. DO NOT CH1, it give a straighter edge without the ch1. This
principle applies to whole pattern.)
Row 1: ch15, 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 12 sc, 2sc in last sc, turn (16)
Row 2: 2sc in 1st sc, sc in next 14 sc, 2sc in last sc, turn (18)
Row 5: 2sc in 1st sc, sc in next 9 sc, 2sc in next sc, sc in next 10 sc, 2sc in last
sc, turn (25)

to the side of the eye (where the bottom of the eye lid is just over the pupils), pin up the sides of the
eyes, pin the top, pin the middle/top of the eye down a little (following the curve at the top of the eyes)

Inside of Ear:
Starting w/Black
Row 1: ch3, 2sc in each ch, turn (4) sw/to Pumpkin leave a 8” piece of Black
for the details
Rows 6-8: (sc in each sc), across, turn (12) F/O no extra needed. With 8” extra
Black add the little line details, refer to picture. Set piece to the side for now…
Outside of Ear:
Using Pumpkin
Row 1: ch3, 2sc in each ch, turn (4)

Row 3: 2sc in 1st sc, sc in next sc, 3sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2sc in last sc,
turn (10)
Row 4: (sc in 1st 3 sc, 2sc in next sc)2x, sc in last 2 sc, turn (12)
Rows 5-8: (sc in each sc), across, turn (12) F/O leave 12” to sew ear pieces
together and to sew ear to head. Place the ear pieces together and sew the sides
of them together (wrong side facing each other). Stuff and pin the ear to the
head as follows: pin the bottom/inside corner of the ear to the head in the
middle/top of the eyes. Pin the front/bottom of the eye following the top of the
eye, curving it around the top of the eyes. Now pin the back of the ear to the
top of the head (the back of the ear should be on rnd. 5 of the head). NOTE pin
both ears on before sewing, to make sure they are even.

Nose:
Using Perfect Pink
Rnd. 1: ch3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, 3sc in next ch,

(working on opposite side of ch3) sc in next ch, 3sc in
last ch, join w/sl st, ch1 (8)
Rnd. 2: (sc in each sc), around, join w/sl st, F/O (8)
leave 4” to sew nose to head. Stuff the nose and sew the
nose directly under the eyes in the little groove left at
the bottom of the eyes. Refer to picture:
Lip: (Make 2)
Using Brt. Yellow
Rnd. 1: ch17, sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 14 ch, 3sc in next ch, (working
on opposite side of ch17) sc in next 15 ch, 3sc in last ch, join w/sl st, ch1 (36)
Rnd. 2: (sc in 1st 16 sc, 2sc in next 2 sc)2x, join w/sl st, ch1 (40)
Rnd. 3: sc in 1st 37 sc, 2sc in last 3 sc, join w/sl st, F/O (43) leave 12” to sew
lip to head. Stuff and pin lip to head as follows. Pin the lip (the side that was
NOT increased) next to the nose, pin the top of the lip directly under the eye,
following the curve, curve the lip up and around the eye. Now pin the outside of
the lip down. Repeat for the other lip, THEN sew the lips on. Refer to picture:

Thumb: (Make 2)
Using Pumpkin

Rnd. 2: (2sc in 1st sc, sc in next sc)3x, join w/sl st, ch1 (9)
Rnds. 3-5: (sc in each sc), around, join w/sl st, ch1 (9) no extra needed. Set
thumb to the side for now…
Fingers: (Make 6, 3 for each hand)

Using Pumpkin
Left Hand/Arm:
Rnd. 2: (2sc in 1st sc, sc in next sc)3x, join w/sl st, ch1 (9)
Rnd. 7: sc dec 1st 2 sc tog, sc in next 3 sc, sc dec next 2 sc tog, sc in last 2 sc,
join w/sl st, F/O (7) 1st 2 fingers. Stuff and take the 1st 2 fingers and tie the
ends in a knot. Set these two to the side for now. Do NOT F/O 3rd Finger, but
do stuff it…
3rd Finger Continued:
You will be connecting the fingers now. Take your
time with these steps!
Rnd. 7: Place your 3rd finger next to the two
fingers that are tied together. Join w/sl st in 4th
sc from knot on one side of one of the tied
together fingers. This will join all three fingers.
Ch1, sc in same sc as joining, sc in the next 3 sc,
sk over to the last finger, 7 sc around this 3rd
finger, sk back over to the middle finger, sc in the
last 3 sc on that finger, sk over to the last finger,
sc around in all 7 sc, join w/sl st in very 1st sc,
ch1 (21)
Rnds. 8-9: (sc in each sc), around, join w/sl st,

Rnd. 10: sc in 1st 6 sc, place thumb next to
fingers, sc next 2 sc going through both the inside

Rnd. 11: sc in 1st 8 sc, sk to outside of the thumb

Foot Details:
Using a 8” piece of Black add the toes by wrapping 20 rnds., pull tight, and
repeat (repeating/making double lines makes for a bolder toe line). Make 2
lines on each foot. Now follow pictures to make the bottom foot crease on the
foot:

Leg: (Make 2)
Using Pumpkin
Rnd. 1: starting w/10”, ch18, join w/sl st in 1st ch,

forming a ring (be sure not to let it twist), ch1, (sc in
each ch), around, join w/sl st, ch1 (18)
Rnds. 2-16: (sc in each sc), around, join w/sl st, ch1
(18)
Rnd. 17: sc in 1st 9 sc, sl st, turn (10)
Rnd. 18: sk 1st sl st, sc in next 8 sc, sl st, turn (9)
Rnd. 19: sk 1st sl st, sc in next 6 sc, sl st, F/O (7)
leave 10” to sew leg to body. Stuff the leg and sew
rnd. 1 of the leg to the back of the foot, over the top
of the little dip made making the foot crease. (make
sure and have the last rnds. on the leg facing the
right side for the right foot, and the left side for the
left foot) Stuff the leg and sew the completed leg to
the body between rnds. 5 & 13. Refer to picture:
Tail:
Starting w/Black

Now you will be switching between two colors. When you join Pumpkin do NOT
cut off the Black. Instead when you switch color simply drop the color you’re
not using and pick up the other color (I crocheted the other color into my piece
till I needed to use it again.) PM=Pumpkin & BL=Black
Rnd. 7: (sc BL in 1st 3 sc, sc PM in next 3 sc), around, join w/sl st, ch1 (36)
Rnd. 8: (sc BL in 1st 2 sc, sc PM in next 4 sc), around, join w/sl st, ch1 (36)

Black, using only Pumpkin from now on…

Finish stuffing and sew tail to body between
rnds. 9 & 14 on the body.
Ear Hair: (Make 6, 3 for each side)

Using Black

Ch6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in last 4 ch, F/O (5)
leave 4” to sew ear hair to head. Sew the “ear hairs” to
the head next to the outside/bottom of the ears.
Finishing:
Using Black
Part 1:
Add the Black line around the eyes. Using a 15” piece
of Black make the black outline by using a simple in and out stitch around the
eyes. When you get to the middle wrap the middle (going over the eyelid) and
repeat, pulling tight (like you did the toe lines).
Part 2:
Add the Black line to the lips. Using a 10” piece of Black. Refer to picture on
how to add the lines, when you get to the top corners of the lip also add the 3
little freckles.

Part 3:
Using a very long piece of Black add the lines to the back. I make my area with
pins (you have to use your imagination with the pins, refer to pictures). Add the
lines using an up and down zig zag, working across the head, then the back,
then the tail. Refer to pictures for ideas on how to do this:
