Do you have an assignment class?
Yes Ma’am.
Ok pass your assignment in front without making any
noise.
B. Lesson Recall
What did we talk about yesterday?
We talked about adjectives.
What are adjectives?
Adjectives are words that describe a
person, place, animal, object or
How do we describe words? What characteristics do event.
we tell about when describing?

C. Motivational Activity Size, shape, color, number, opinion

What do you see on the board?

A store.
That’s right.
Can you guess what is missing in the store?
A vendor!
Correct! Who wants to be a vendor to the store?
(Raises hands)
(Calls a student)

Okay, now that the store has a vendor, the store is

now open for buyers. Since today is the opening day,
the store is giving away 3 items for free. Do you want
to have a free item?
Yes!
Great there is only one condition.
You are not allowed to point the item with your
hands. You can only use adjectives or describing
words to let the vendor know what item you want to
buy. For example, for this item you may say” Can I
buy one, small, red, delicious apple?” Is it clear?
Yes, Teacher Ada.
Great! Let’s try it!

(Items on the store. *students will choose only three

in this activity)
1. Five, small, red, delicious, apple
2. Three, big, green, delicious, apple
3. Three, big, Green, watermelon
4. Two, long, yellow, sweet, banana
5. 2 cluster, seedless, violet, sweet, grapes

So, congratulations to the lucky buyers who got a

free item from the store. Did you enjoy the activity?
Yes Ma’am.
D. Discussion Proper
What did you do to let the vendor know what item
you want to buy?
I/We described the item we want to
buy.
Correct. What kind of words did you use to describe
the item/s?
Adjectives.
Very good!
How many adjectives did you use?
Two/three/many/more than one

Do you think if you used only one adjective, the

vendor will be able to guess what item you want to
buy?
No.
Why? If you want to buy the big, green, sweet apple,
why can’t you just say “Can I buy apple?”
Because the vendor may think that
what I wanted to buy is the five,
small, red, delicious, apple
That’s correct. Sometimes, one adjective or
describing word is not enough. We need to use more
than one adjective to distinguish an object.
Now, there is a correct sequence of adjectives that
we should follow. On the board is the correct order
of adjectives that we should follow. Let’s all read:
Number + Size + Shape + Color +
Opinion + NOUN
To further understand our lesson let’s watch a video
presentation about our topic.

E. Guided Practice
Now on the board are jumbled adjectives and nouns.
Let us try to arrange them in the correct order.
1. Korean – delicious – a – drink 1. a delicious Korean dish
2. red – juicy – two - apples 2. two juicy red apples
3. big – three – square – brown – boxes 3. three big square brown boxes
4. two – the – Japanese – pretty – kids 4. the two pretty Japanese kids
5. wooden – old – an – round – table 5. an old round wooden table

Very well. I guess you are now ready to do it on your

own.
V. Generalization
Why do we need to sometimes use more than two adjectives or describing words?
