ACEM SITE SUPERVISION COURSE
ACEM intends to conduct a series of Site Supervision Courses designed to provide the Graduate
Engineers, Engineering Technologists and Inspector of Works (IOW) with the necessary practical
knowledge and information related to good engineering practice in the site supervision using proper
procedures and reporting to meet the approved design, drawings and specification.
The overall programme consists of General and Discipline Modules corresponding to the disciplines
registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
There will be three (3) programmes for the Discipline Modules as follows:
(a) Civil & Structural
(b) Mechanical
(c) Electrical
Participants are encouraged to attend the General Module and one of the Discipline Modules as per
their registration with BEM to have a complete and comprehensive knowledge regarding site supervision.
All the above courses shall be conducted as a series of webinars to facilitate affordable on-line courses.
The above module is divided into five (5) webinars Webinar M1 - Air-Conditioning Systems

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
ACEM e-certificate shall be issued subject to full attendance of the webinars. Each webinar shall be eligible
for 2 CPD Hours for Registered Persons with BEM.

IR. AU CHONG HUN is a Director of Primetech Engineers Sdn Bhd and holds an Honours Degree in
Mechanical Engineering from University of Malaya. He has diverse experience in a wide range of projects
such as high rise, offices, institutional building, university campus, residential developments, mall,
museum, warehouse, factories and infrastructure planning.
He has also successfully led the implementation of sustainable strategies for a number of GBI Platinum
and Gold buildings. Ir. Au has contributed to the development of GBI’s NREB, INC and IEB rating tools.
He is a member in the Technical Committee for Fire Properties of Building Material and a Working Group
member for the Malaysian Standard on Fixed Aerosol Fire Extinguisher System, Flammable Refrigerant
System – Code of Practice and the Fire Rated Lift Landing Doors.
Ir. Au is a GBI Facilitator, a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional and a Registered Electrical
Energy Manager.
IR. DR. N. JAYASEELAN is the Principal of a local consulting engineering practice. He has vast experience
in the design, operations and maintenance of cold and hot water and sanitary plumbing systems, fire
protection and air-conditioning systems for building services and industrial plants.
He was a recipient of the Association of Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS) award on two occasions,
awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. Ir. Dr. Jayaseelan was also a member of
the working group to draw up the energy efficiency and energy conservation guidelines for pumps and
compressors for Malaysian industries organized by the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Pusat Tenaga
Malaysia, and the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications. He is the current Co-Chair of the
Malaysian Green Building Index Accreditation Panel (GBIAP).
He graduated from the University of Malaya, Leeds Polytechnic, UK and Universiti Putra Malaysia and
holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Engineering and an Industrial Doctorate in
Engineering.

Ir. Dr. N. Jayaseelan is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers
Malaysia (BEM), member of The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) and
a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). He is also a Certified Energy Manager,
registered with the Energy Commission of Malaysia, a Chartered Engineer of Australia (CPEng), an APEC
Engineer and an International Professional Engineer (Int’l PE).
IR. WONG SEE FOONG graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya
in 1974 and has been involved in fire safety engineering over the past 40 years. He is a professional engineer
with practicing license registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and is presently a partner in MEP
Engineering Sdn Bhd, an engineering consultancy firm.
Ir. Wong is a Past President of The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) and also a Past
President of the Institution of Fire Engineers (U.K.) Malaysia Branch. He is a Fellow of the Institution of
Engineers Malaysia and also a Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers (U.K.).
Ir. Wong’s contributions in fire safety include assisting the Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia in
drafting the amendments to the Uniform Building By-laws, 1984 relating to active fire safety. His other
contributions include chairing the Technical Committee under the National Standards Committee (M)
of Jabatan Standards Malaysia for the drafting of Malaysian Standards for fire fighting systems and
equipment.
