Winter Music
Using musical instruments and your voices, work together to create a winter wonderland
musical piece. Perform your work for an audience and ask for their thoughts.
You could use these images as inspiration or you may have your own ideas. Once each person
has chosen an idea, think about which instrument/s could represent it the best. How could you
play the instrument?
The musical piece needs to have a clear beginning and end. Consider if you want to layer the
sounds or not.
One person will need to be the conductor and remind everyone when to play.

Winter Memory Game
Look at the pictures for 10 seconds. Turn over the booklet and see how many things you
can remember.
Winter Religion Day
Every year, this special day takes place in January. It is an opportunity to celebrate and
learn about the different religions in our world.
Create a logo for World Religion Day, including as many religious symbols as possible.
Backwards Day
Every year on January 31st, Backwards Day is celebrated in different places around the
world. This is a day when everything can be done the wrong way round!
For example:
I woke up at 8pm, ready for a new night. I went upstairs and drank my dinner. I didn’t brush
my teeth. Then, I put on my pjs.
At 10pm, I drove my mum to school and I went to work. I didn’t get paid because I work for fun.
When I got home from work, I took our pet cat for a walk. At 4am, my family and I stood
around the table and had our breakfast. Later, I helped my mum with her homework.
I dried then washed the plates and got dressed, ready for bed. I wore my sweater, pants, socks
and shoes. At 6am, I read my dad a bedtime story. Then, I snuggled up under my bed and
went to sleep.

Spot the Difference
Spot and circle the 10 differences below.
Be Kind
In February, ‘National Random Acts of Kindness Day’ takes place. This is a day to remind
everyone about the importance of always being kind. Think about how you could do something
kind for many different people. Even something very simple could mean a great deal to the
recipient, e.g. letting someone go before you in the lunch queue, helping someone with something
they are struggling with or giving them a compliment.
Write down possible random acts of kindness aimed at these different people in your life.
