TICK ACCEPTANCE
CRITERIA
• Wash flowhead thoroughly and dry with air.
• Make one cycle opening/closing on manual valves. Number of turns
Count turns in either direction
• Inject WOM Sealing Compound in both upstream and downstream
orifices. On manual valves in closed position.
• Grease valve stem bearings through grease nipple in the bonnet.
• Inspect bonnet valve bleed off ball and seat (threads if NPT bleed off) Replace if worn
• Connect pumping unit to actuator or ESD.
- Pressurization button to ESD unit
- Open Pressure Valve
- Pump Valve Open (Max 2500 PSI HYD PRES).
- Increase pressure to 3500 PSI to check that relief valve
opens. Then decrease to 2500 PSI.
- Release Hydraulic Pressure.
• Inject WOM Compound in both upstream and downstream orifices 20 strokes on bucket pump
with valve in closed position. if empty sealing reservoir
• Check O-rings at bottom X-over and top Pressure Test Adapter. Replace damaged seals.
- Install top, bottom and lateral PTA's
- The flowhead is now ready for FIT-2

• Connect pump to main block PTA.
• Open master valve, swab valve and wing valves.
• Fill with water.
• Increase pressure gradually to 1,000 PSI Hold pressure for 5 minutes. No drop on chart.
• Increase pressure gradually to 10,000 PSI. Hold pressure for 15 No drop on chart.

• Close valve, swab, kill and wing valve.

CRITERIA
• Dismantle completely the Swab Valve as per procedures of the Report corrosion to
Maintenance Manual. Supervisor
- Inspect all parts for wear, corrosion and mechanical damages
- Inspect all seats for scars and wash out
- Change all O Rings and Seals
• Check easy rotation of swivel 60-80 ft/lbs
• Check oil level in swivel is ok by opening 1" NPT screw.
• Swivel oil to be changed on every 6-8 jobs.
• Visually check access port between swivel seals.
• Open and check bleeder valves
• Refit bleeder valves into bonnet Replace with new if signs
of wear etc
• Re-assemble and perform FIT 1 checks

for body test only.
• Check actuator opening pressure and note pressure. Under pressure psi
and without pressure, check for hydraulic oil leakage.
• Check actuator closing time under pressure and note time taken secs
• Green tag equipment

BODY TEST:
• Connect pump to inlet of SSV.
• Pump valve open.
Note: Only half open if W.O.M. valve.
• Increase pressure gradually to Max W.P. of valve.
• Increase pressure gradually to wp. Hold for 5 minutes. No drop on chart.
• Bleed of pressure.
• Close valve by triggering ESD button.
• Check actuator closing time. Secs.
Make sure valve if fully closed.
• Downstream valve test.
• Increase pressure gradually to wp. Hold for 5 minutes. No drop on chart.
• Bleed off pressure.
• Upstream valve test:
• Connect pump to inlet of SSV.
• Increase pressure gradually to 1000 psi. No drop on chart.
• Hold for 5 minutes.
• Increase pressure to max W.P. of SSV.
• Hold for 5 minutes. No drop on chart.
• Bleed off pressure.

• Dismantle completely the stand alone valve. Inspect all parts for
wear, corrosion, scars or other possible damage. Change all O rings
and seals.
• Inspect seat pockets in valve.
• Clean and grease pockets and O-rings in seats with
Omega Hi-Temp grease #3100 425° F.
• Re-assemble the SSV.
• Make one cycle of the valve IE. open at 2000 psi on actuator to make
sure that Gatebore is aligned with Scatbore.

• Make one cycle opening and closing the valves. Count the number of
turns to actuate the valves in either position
• Close the valves
• Inject WOM sealing compound in bonnet. 20 strokes on bucket pump
on 3" valves
• Grease the valve stem bearings through the grease nipple provided on
the bonnet.
• Remove the adjustable choke Replace tip and seat if worn
• Check the Sampling / Bleeder points. Report damage
• Check pressure pick points. Report damage
• Check shape of WECO connections and seals. Replace if damaged

When testing WOM valves, use WOM test procedure
TICK ACCEPTANCE
CRITERIA
• Install needle valves instead of bleeder plugs
• Install pressure test adaptors
• Connect HP pump to pressure test adaptor at inlet of the CMF
• Fill up upstream side of the CMF. While circulating water,
momentarily open all sampling points, bleed off valves, pressure pick-
up . . . to make sure they are clean and able to deliver sample later on
• Body test. Open all valves on CMF. Connect test hose to inlet
connection of manifold. If WOM valves to be half open.
• Increase pressure to Max W.P. Hold pressure for 15 minutes No drop on chart
• Release pressure
• Close upstream valves
• Open downstream valves
• Fill with water
• Increase pressure to 300 PSI. Hold pressure for 5 mins. No drop on chart
• Increase pressure to max W.P and hold pressure for 5 mins. No drop on chart
• Release pressure
• Open upstream valves
• Close downstream valves
• Increase pressure to 300 PSI. Hold pressure for 5 mins No drop on chart
• Increase pressure to max W.P and hold pressure for 5 mins No drop on chart
• Release pressure
• Connect H/P pump to test adaptor at outlet of CFM
• Increase pressure to 300 PSI. Hold pressure for 5 mins. No drop on chart
• Increase pressure to max W.P and hold for 10 mins. No drop on chart
• Release pressure.
• Remove needle valves
• Remove pressure test adaptors
• Install thread protectors or protect unions with greased rags or paper
• Inject body filler grease

• Re-mount the manifold and perform FIT 1 checks.

• Make one cycle opening and closing of inlet, outlet and bypass valves.
- Count the number of turns to actuate valves in either position.
• Inject sealing compound in valves both upstream and downstream
orifices.
• Grease all valve stem bearings through grease nipple on the bonnet.
• Check all spare parts are available in the tool box.
- check especially range and size of chokes.
• Remove the choke.
- Check the shape of tip and seat if adjustable choke was installed.
Install blank choke instead.
• Check thermowells, pressure pick up points for DWT, pilots....
• Check shape of all WECO inlet and outlet connections and seals.

• Install pressure test adapters on the coil inlet and outlet.
• Install adjustable choke seat and fixed choke pressure cap.
• Flush coil with water.
• Close by pass and outlet valve.
• Start HP pump. No drop on chart
Increase pressure to 2,000 psi.
Stop HP pump.
Hold pressure for 5 minutes.

• Start HP pump.
Increase pressure to 10,000 psi.
Hold for 15 minutes. No drop on chart
• Release test pressure.
• Close inlet valve. No drop on chart
Re-pressurize to 2,000 psi.
Hold pressure for 5 minutes.
• Start HP pump. No drop on chart
Increase pressure to 10,000 psi.
Hold for 5 minutes.
• Release test pressure.
• Remove fixed choke pressure cap.
Install adjustable choke.
Open adjustable choke.
Flush coil with water.
Open all valves.
• Start HP pump. No drop on chart.
Increase pressure to 2,000 psi against test adapters.
Hold for 5 minutes.
• Start HP pump. No drop on chart.
Increase pressure to 10,000 psi.
Hold for 15 minutes.
• Close inlet and outlet valve.
• Re-pressurize to 2,000 psi No drop on chart.
Hold for 5 minutes.
Start HP pump. No drop on chart
Increase pressure to 10,000 psi.
Hold 5 minutes.
Release test pressure.
Rig down equipment
Check Dnv cert. Date. With in 1 year.
Check Load test date. With in 5 years.

• Perform FIT 1 checks.
• Clean air filter on air supply of the Foxboro controller.
• Connect air supply to the controller and adjust output regulator
pressure to 20 psi. Check that steam inlet valve opens.
• Remove temperature sensors from well and check the coil capillary
tubing for kicks, damages, deformations. Immerse senosr in oil bath
at 175°C. With set point at maximum range, check that steam inlet
valve closes. While oil bath is cooling down, check correct operation
of the controller, i.e. steam inlet valve closes whenever affixed
temperature is reached.
• Dismount, inspect and clean the steam trap at the steam outlet.

CRITERIA
• Perform FIT 2 pressure checks.
• Pressure test the vessel if requested by client or after any replacement
of part in the steam circuit. Remove pressure safety valve and replace
by blank flange. Remove if any, the operational rupture disc or the
optional second safety valve and replace by blank flange. Connect air
supply (max 100 psi) to the Foxboro controller to open the steam inlet
valve. Close outlet bleeder valve. Leave steam outlet valve open.
Fill up the vessel via the steam inlet with soft water mixed with
corrosion inhibitor. When water appears at steam outlet valve, close
the valve. Continue filling the vessel until it is full of water. Pressure
test the vessel at 250 psi and hold for 15 minutes. Empty the vessel
and remount the safety valves.
• Touch up paint.

• Connect water pump to separator inlet.
• Connect air line to separator air scrubber and ensure ACV's are in Visual check v/v are open.

• Close all oil meter valves and gas outlet v/v and oil and gas by-pass
valves and water meter valve.
• Open needle v/v at highest point on separator.
• Start water pump and fill separator with water. Ensure air follow through
bleed off.
• Once filled with water cycle each manual valve 3 times or until water
is clear.

• Ensure Daniel gate v/v is closed and top gasket and bar removed.
Open needle v/v at highest point on separator.
Connect water line to separator inlet test cap and open v/v and fill
separator with water.
• As separator fills observe a change in output to oil ACV to prove float
attached to torque arm.
• Once separator filled with water close separator test cap inlet v/v and
remove waterhose. No drop on chart recorder.
Install test pump line to separator gas outlet test cap and open v/v.
Close gas outlet v/v and gas by-pass v/v and pressure test to 1250 PSI.
Bleed off pressure after good test.
• Install test pump line to separator inlet. Ensure separator inlet, oil and .As above.
gas by-pass valves are closed, pressure test to 1250 PSI, bleed off
pressure after good test.
Open inlet to separator, close oil meter by-pass, water line meter inlet As above.
v/v, oil meter inlet v/v's and separator high point bleed off v/v. Daniel
sliding plate in (Daniel top is open). Pressure test to 1250 PSI.

• Test backup oilline with oil outlet and oil bypass valves closed. No drop on chart recorder
• Close oil outlet v/vs , open oil metering v/vs. Pressure test to 1250 .As above.
PSI, bleed off pressure. Install test line on water outlet test cap. Close
water meter inlet v/v, open water outlet v/v. Pressure test to 1250
PSI. Bleed off pressure. Close water outlet v/v, open water meter
inlet v/v. Pressure test to 1250 PSI. Bleed off pressure. Remove test
caps.
• Close oil ACV (0 PSI output from controllers). Slowly open the 2" oil
outlet v/v, check that the ACV stops the flow of water to a good
degree by operating Wizard, Water Trol and Level Trol. Slowly
increase output to ACV and observe an increase in water flow rate.
Repeat above for all ACV's (gas ACV 30 PSI output to close). Ensure
water drains from sight glasses.
• Fit blank orifice plate into Daniel orifice meter. As above.
• Daniel metering line and open gas outlet v/v. Check water stops Time =
draining after 5-10 mins and pressure bleeds down from 100 PSI to
zero.
• Ensure full set of Daniel plates and their condition are supplied.
Check scrubber pot pipes are supplied. Ensure 2" and 3" valve
handles supplied . Ensure Daniel box has two plate seals that fit
carrier.

Inspect all parts of the Level Trol, tubings and Normally Closed

- Look for corrosion especially at the Bourdon Tube,
Nozzle System and Valves Stems. Replace corroded parts.
Check tubings for leaks.
• No leaks.
Clean the Restrictor Orifice by pressing Pin "B".

Set the Proportional Band Adjustment "C" at 100%.

Turn Level Setting Dial "D" until an outlet pressure of 6 psi is

reached. (read Pressure Gauge "E")
Check that the two Automatic Valves are fully closed.

- Loosen Stem Connector Screws slightly and check that
Valves Plugs rest on their seats by turning Lock Nuts
clockwise.
- Retighten Stem Connectors
Open the Pilot Circuit Valve of one of the control Valves and close the

other one.
- Restart filling of the Separator until Plunger is totally
immersed.
- Unlock Screws "F" and displace Nozzle Block to obtain
30 psi Outlet Pressure.
- Mark water level.
- Check Control Valve is fully open.
Drain Separator via Water Outlet Valve until Outlet Pressure falls to 6

psi and Control Valve closes.
- Mark water level.
- Set proportional Band Adjustment "C" to 10%.
- Set Level Setting Dial "D" to 50% of scale.
- Refill Separator until water level is at the middle of
the previous marks.
- Adjust Flapper Screws "G" for 18 psi Outlet Pressure.
- Drain Separator again and set Level Setting Dial "D"
just above zero. Check 6 psi or less Outlet Pressure.
- Refill Separator and set Level Setting Dial to 100%.
Check 30 psi Outlet Pressure.
- Close Pilot Circuit Valve and open the other one.
Repeat the above procedure with the second Control Valve.

- Close its Pilot Circuit Valve (Do not empty yet.)

- Loosen Stem connector Screws of GOV 1.
- Check Valve Plug rests on its Seat by turning Lock Nuts clockwise.
- Retighten Stem Connector.
Turn Pressure Setting Dial "D" until an Output Pressure of 30 psi is

reached (read pressure gauge "E").
Re-apply maximum nominal pressure on the bourdon Tube.

- outlet Pressure should fall to 6 psi.
- If not, unlock screws "F" and displace Nozzle Block "G"
to obtain 6 psi.
Check that application or release of max nominal pressure of the

Bourdon gives the 6-30 psi Outlet Pressure Range.
Set proportional Band Adjustment "C: at 10%.

Set Pressure Setting Dial "D" to 50% of maximum nominal pressure

of the Bourdon.

Apply 50% of the bourdon Tube nominal pressure.



- Loosen Lock Screw "H" and adjust Nozzle "I" to have 18 psi Outlet
Pressure.
- Re-tighten Lock Screw "H".
CAUTION
Do not rise Nozzle more than 0.06" (1.5 mm), to avoid damaging O
Ring Seal with Lock Screw. New Wizard have new but a Teflon Stop
to secure the Nozzle
Check again that:

- With the Pressure Setting Dial "D" just above zero and no pressure
on Bourdon, the Outer Pressure is 6 psi or less.
- With the Dial "D" just below 100% the Outlet
Pressure is 30 psi.
Set Proportional Band adjustment at 25%.

Set Pressure Setting dial to obtain 30 psi outlet Pressure

Apply 25% of Bourdon nominal pressure.

- Check Outlet Pressure is 6 psi or less

• Check that inlet and extract dampers are open.
• Check condition of rubber seal on inlet and outer cowls
• Check condition of low pressure Pipework.
• Check that all transits are packed
Inspect external hook up junction box for damage, flamepaths.

• Connect wyrem hose from fan to inlet cowl.
• Connect fan motor to supply cable from lab cabin
Check that tappings on main transformers are set to suit incoming

voltage.
• Open inlet and extract ventilation grille.
• Check condition of seals around doors and escape hatch
• Connect 3 phase supply to EXT JB
• Close doors and escape hatch and check rubber seals.
• Turn key switch to normal.
• Press fan start button on main panel
• Check fan rotation.
• Check fan overload setting.
• Set pre purge timer to approx 30 secs
• Set purge timer to time required (e.g. 4 minutes).
Mini Helic gauge should read between .25 and .5 inches of Water.

• Purge light will illuminate after approximately 30 secs.
• After preset time purging cycle will go off.
• Press main start button.
• Switch on main transformers
• Switch on circuit breakers

• Remove the Ranarex from the box and clean both.
• Check the desiccant on the left hand side is of a blue colour. If the
desiccant is pink or clear place it in the microwave for 6-8 minutes
until a blue colour is achieved and re-install the desiccant in the
Ranarex.
• Turn the selector dial to the 0 position.
• Check the required voltage of the Ranarex and connect to the
appropriate supply.
• Once the motor has reached its full speed turn the knob on the front to
the UNLOCK position.
• If the pointer does not move at all remove the front cover and place
the tape back on the two wheels.
• Observe the pointer. It should move to a reading of 1.000
• If the needle requires minor adjustment this can be done with the zero
adjust on the front cover.
• Once the pointer is reading 1.000 set the knob to the LOCK position.
• Disconnect the power supply, turn the selector to the OFF position and
return the Ranarex to the box.
• Check the box contains all fittings.
• Repair all handles and clasps as necessary
• Green tag box, ready for offshore
