▪ As we enter the house we see open to sky , double heighted courtyard .
▪ As the client wanted the spaces to be interconnected , this courtyard helped to introvert the
whole house and the spaces responds into this courtyard.
▪ A small pooja room is located next to courtyard.

KITCHEN AND DINING AREA

SMALL COURTYARD
-BEHIND DINING AND KITCHEN SPACE
▪ Courtyard wall also act as a outer facade of house and hence is covered with bricks.
▪ As the courtyard is behind dining and kitchen it brings a lot of light to the space .
▪ The jail pattern was created by placing the bricks diagonally which also bringing privacy to the space .
▪ The small courtyard was open to sky and had concrete pargola on top which allowed rain inside the space
and helped in bringing lot of light and ventilation into the space

PARENT BEDROOM

STAIRCASE AND LIBRARY
▪ There is a two inch folded plate staircase provided in the transition area through which we climb to the
next level .

▪ Opposite to the staircase is a cozy studying nook

KIDS BEDROOM
▪ The kids bedroom has fixed seater near the window that
opens into the double height courtyard.
▪ Kids bedrooms has sloping roof that allowed to create a
mezzanine floor within the room which doubles up as
space for them .
▪ The sloping roof helps to scale down the height of the
building .
▪ In the room floor seating along with low height table has
been provided for kids to study or play around .
MASTER BEDROOM
▪ On other side we have master bedroom with an elaborate
dresser and attached toilet .
▪ It is a linear compact bedroom with a built in bed with
windows opening into the courtyard allowing interaction
at different times of the day .
SEMI COVERED TERRACE
▪ A very usable terrace which they can use to entertain guest and can have small social
interaction with people .
▪ Here we have louver doors and windows made of teak wood and painted in white to all
maintain minimal theme.
▪ Floor level near the seating has been raised and a u shaped planter box has been provided .
