Speaking Practice – Possible Questions for the Oral Mid Term - Level One Exam.
1. Introduce yourself
Good evening teacher and classmates my name is Eduardo Martinez , I'm 26 years old , I live
in Riobamba but I lived in Latacunga for six years. I worked at Tubasec in the process control
deparment and product control department, also I'he worked as laboratory assistant in my
university. I'm a Petrochemical Engineering graduate, I've completed a 40-hours course in
organic chemistry.

Yes, “C” as cathedral.
3. Where are you from?

I’m from Riobamba in Ecuador.
4. Where do you live?

I live in Riobamba. It is a beautiful city located in the center of Ecuador.
5. Have you got any hobbies?

Yes, I have many hobbies such as: listen to music, read books, play football.
6. What do you do?

In this moment I don’t have a job but I sometimes work for “San Jose” pre-university, but
if I’m lucking I work four times a week or twice a week. I teach subjects such as: organic
chemistry , inorganic chemistry and thermodynamics.
7. What do you like to do during the weekend?

I like do play football with my friends on Wednesday at night, but also I like eat pizza with
my family on Friday. The weekend I like watch to football matches of my favorite football
team.
8. Could you please share your daily routine?

I always get up at 6 o’clock every day and I always breakfast at 6:30 am. Then I do exercise
for 1 hour. After this I help my mon to clean our house. During the afternoon I take my
English lessons from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. I usually go to bed at around 11:00 pm.
9. How often do you take English lessons? / How often…..

I take English lessons five times a week from 6:30 pm to 8.30 pm.
10. What’s your home address?
Well, my neighborhood doesn't have addresses but it's near to "Las acacias "
neighborhood. It’s located on north of the city. The name of my neighborhood is "North
Meadow".
11. What’s your study habit?

I make a study timetable and it helps me to pass my exams. For example, when I studied
at Espe university, I always studied for 5 or 6 hours every day at night but also I took
breaks were shorts-about five or ten minutes.
12. Do You work? / What is your job? / What’s your ideal job?
My ideal job is process engineer. I'd like to work at Ecuador's refineries such as
"Esmeraldas" refinery, and "La Libertad" refinery but also I want to work in chemistry
industry.
13. Have you got any electrical device that you really like?
Yes, I have got many electrical devices such as laptop, smart phone, speaker and flat-
screen TV. I always use my smart phone every day to listen to music, search information
and see films so it’s very useful for me.
14. Do you like English?

Yes, I like to learn English. In my opinion this language is very important for us because the
mainly scientific information is writing in English.
15. Why are you studying English?

I’m studying English because I’d like to visit other countries such as: England, Scotland and
Ireland but also I'd want to study in England. I need learn English to start my studies in
computational fluids dinamycs master.

Unit 1
In this picture I could see many people of different countries. There are people of Spain,
USA, Australia, Uruguay, Germany, Poland and Belgium. Maybe They're together for a
football match, a language course or at work. In my opinion They're at a language course
in USA.
Unit 2
In this picture I could see one lady and four penguins. They're in an Aquarium. I think that
She's feeding to penguins. Thus she works for a zoo.
Unit 3
In this picture I could see two gentlemen and one person is using a costume. They are in
subway. The Two gentlemen are reading, one gentleman reads a newspaper but also he
uses a black cap, gray T-shirt and black pants. The other gentleman reads a book, he uses
white T-shirt and black pants. In my opinon they are going to their houses then of a
workday.
Unit 4
In this picture I can see one lady and two gentlemen. They are having to dinner together.
In my opinion they are in a restaurant and They are having soup. Two of them are with
hand in their face.
Unit 5
In this picture I can a house in a beach. This house is on top of a stone. Near to it there is a
tree that be behind of it. This house is very small and it made of wood. In my opinion it is a
abandoned house.
Unit 6
In this picture I can see a large family they are in front of their house. Their house is a big
and beautiful house and. In my opinion is located in countryside so I think is a very place
to live.
