    Title: “Vacation Memories”

    Travel takes us out of our comfort zones and inspires us to see, taste and try new things.
    It constantly challenges us, not only to adapt to and explore new surroundings, but also to
    engage with different people, to embrace adventures as they come and to share new and
    meaningful experiences with friends and loved ones.

    Describe your most memorable travel experience. Where did you go? Who did you go
    with? Why did you go there? What did you see? What did you eat? Why was it so
    memorable to you?

    Include vivid details of the sights, smells, noises, and how you feel about each of these.
    Walk us through the trip, and how it affected you. It’s up to you how you describe it but
    help us understand what made it so memorable!

    Purpose: To write a description and explanation about an event.

    Audience: Your classmates and your teacher.

    Length: 1 ~ 2 pages

    Writing Rubric – To write an effective essay you should include:

    Make your writing descriptive by including adjectives, adverbs and similes.


    Use the past simple tense.
    Be sure to structure your paragraphs correctly.
    Be unique and write creatively.
    Check your grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation.
