COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The West was won by taste, innovation and quality. In the last six decades, from a handcart, Havmor has grown
into a delicious facet of daily life of a large part of Western India. It is available through 20,000 + outlets across
Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Havmor has more than 160 products, possibly the most extensive range in India. The Company has 200,000
liters per day, ISO 22000:2005 and HACCP certified state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.  In the next two
years the capacity is planned to double. The existing Group turnover is Rs. 2.3 billion which is expected to cross
Rs. 3 billion by 2012-13.
The third generation- Ankit Chona- is contributing to the business, building on the core values.  He is the
driving force in expanding the Restaurant Division as well as popularizing the Company owned Ice cream and
Fast Food Parlours- HavFunn. He is leading the modernization and standardization process of the Company.

Rs.5 billion by the year 2015.  By the year 2020 we will be amongst the top three Ice cream brands in India with

HISTORY OF HAVMOR
In 1944, a young professional, Salish China, started an ice cream shop, by the name of Havmor, in Karachi in
1944. Initially it began as a part time venture to supplement the family income. The subsequent three
years saw it becoming a popular local brand. But in 1947, in the wake of the India-Pakistan
partition, he was forced to leave everything behind and migrate to India. He tried setting up a
new venture in couple of Indian cities- Dehradun and Indore but then ultimately settled in
Ahmedabad. Starting from scratch, Salish China began operations from a handcart at the
Ahmedabad railway station, churning out ice-cream manually. He called this fledgling brand
HAVMOR- a short form of Have More- promising the customers more value for money and more
taste to relish. Achaia, Sashay and Safi (Goodness, Purity/honesty and hygiene) were the guiding
values that endure to date.

All ingredients which go into the making of Havmor Ice Creams undergo pre-quality checks & only those that
confirm to the set quality standard are allowed to be used.
Compared to milk, Ice Cream is a more nutritious product, containing 4 times more carbohydrates, 3-4 times
more fat and about 12 to 16 % more protein

Stabilizer and emulsifiers 0.2—0.5%
add fruits flavours 0,2 - 0,5 % or chocolate.
MIXING
The second steps of production is mixing of raw material , in this stage raw material mixing together ,this

process done in metal tanker with specific conditions and exact temperature for
better mixing and quality of product , if the mixing stage done improperly ,the output product will come out
with less quality , the Havmor company mix the raw material like milk and sound health inks and some other
material together in specific conditions, the process implemented after proper and technical test of raw material
and the totally quality and test of product depends on raw material and the way of mixing these material
together for efficient output.

MOULDING
The third stage is MOULDING of product ,in this step the prepaid material carry to particular frame, the frame

made the specific design ,the principle of designing and structure of production
depends molding stage,
The Havmor company carry the mixed the material to particular frame for specific design.
PACKING

The fourth stage of production process is packing of particular product in design of


plastic which free from adverse effect of itshamvor company used specific plastic for the product which never
effect to quality and free from adversely effects to health.

STORING

The six stage of production process after packing they carried out the production to
warehouse for retention, the ice cream retain with particular temperature and specific condition until to
transportation proceed.
QUALITY COMMITMENT
Ice Cream is made of pure milk and milk fat (Cream). It contains all essential elements like fat,
proteins, calcium, vitamins, etc.
Frozen Desserts contain ingredients like Vegetable oil and fat in place of dairy cream. Due to
this the taste, smell & freshness of frozen desserts differ from Ice Creams prepared from pure
milk.

OBSERVATION
The Industrial visit to the havmor ice cream as a wonderful visit from our collage. My visit about how an
organization is run successfully. The visit was highly educational and helped one to given me an depth
understanding of the marketing and finance management cared out of Havmor. I came to know about the
process used for manufacturing of Ice-cream and different types of problems encountered in it. I understood the
difficulties that is faced by management of modern companies and also studies the ways they save the
difficulties and problems.

HAVMOR Is a wonderful company It is a developed company with its registered office as well as factory at
Anand plant. Havmor ice cream has capered the market of ice-creams. It will be leader in ice-cream after
some times if it continues to process in this way as it is doing now. We can tell that the industry is an Ideal
Industry and after eating its Ice-cream any body can tell that.
