The Alabama Hunter Jumper Association is accepting applications for the 2022 High School Junior
Board and Middle School Junior Board. This group plays an active role in yearly operations of the AHJA:
from fundraising to organizing educational events, the Junior Board is a vital part of the associaton. Our
high school board is open to any grades 9-12 ad our middle school board is open to individuals in 7th or
8th grades who have been active participants in the AHJA. The junior board has 15 spots. If there are more
than 15 applicants we will go to an interveiw process to select 15 members.
The applicant must:
- Be a current Alabama Hunter Jumper Association member in good standing
- Have actively participated in AHJA events within the past two years
- Be currently enrolled in high school grades 9-12 or middle school grades 7 or 8
- Complete sections 1-7 of the application form, and be postmarked by the deadline
- Submit one (1) letter of recommendation (non-family members or AHJA Members)
The Junior Board will be required to meet 3 – 4 times a year, organize one community service project,
fundraise, attend 2 regular board meetings, and be available to assist at horse shows when needed.
Members are also required to secure sponsorships and complete 10 hours of community service during
the year. Those applying should be outgoing, forward thinking, and have an active desire to improve the
AHJA and to make the association more inviting to all members.
