Title JO # 32343 - Chhandasri MISHRA
1. How have your achievements and operational experience to date prepared you for this position? Please refer to the job description
and to the essential requirements therein, and the operational context (if available).
I am a management student pursuing an MBA in Health and Hospital management with a working experience of around 8 months with an NGO,
namely Child Survival India, in a project working for the welfare of COVID disrupted widows and orphans.
My experience of working with the social sector, i.e. NGO has given me hands-on training for making detailed case reports of the requests that we
receive for help along with performing careful research to know the background of each, performing administrative reports, dealing with interested
donors, and private organizations for providing help specifically to certain cases. And while performing all of these activities and working on cases, I
have always made sure to keep the time frame in mind. My seniors and colleagues have been very appreciative of my work ethic, communication with
the team, close monitoring skills, and report drafting activities.
As I am currently a management student, studying public health and community welfare, I am acquainted with data collection, standardized report-
making ethics, and research methodology. I have been taught and given assignments to get deeper insights into incorporating ethical considerations,
developing a comprehensive approach towards designing screening methods, Data analysis, and interpretation, etc.
I have published a review paper on the Topic "Lifestyle, Immunity, and COVID-19- An Amalgamation of Modern Science and Ayurvedic Perspective"
published in the Journal of Ayurvedic and Clinical medicine. One of my research papers on the theme of women's empowerment is submitted for
publication I have also done scientific writing courses for research through online portals.
Hence, I feel, with the amount of exposure I have, if given the opportunity to be an intern, it would be really helpful to brush up and better my skills for
future roles.
2. Please describe any skills and competencies you have, and which may be of particular relevance to this position.
I have been working in the social sector being a current management student, both of which have provided me with a number of skills and hands-on
experience to carry forward for this position.
Working with the NGO, for the provision of COVID resources and rehabilitation of needy COVID widows and Orphans has helped me develop
comprehensive problem solving abilities, time management skills along with monitoring and following upon the cases . As I was working with a team
of 25 people, I have inculcated the importance of working and accomplishing goals together as a team. I have strong communication and writing skills
as I had to talk to patients and family members, resource vendors, govt officials as a part of my work. I know the importance of conversation tones
while talking to different kind pf people as well as writing structures, drafting formal reports, case studies, etc.
I am also good at multitasking and working tirelessly for long stressful work hours, as I have been working on various aspects of various cases, at
times for more than 14 hours a day voluntarily.
I am currently pursuing a postgraduation diploma in Health and Hospital Management ( equivalent MBA) with modules of Human resource
management, Research methodology, Principles of management, Biostatistics, epidemiology, Finance and accounting, and other such related
subjects inculcating deeper insights into theoretical and technical knowledge of the topics, which make me more competent for the position.
I have a sound interest in research, to find the gaps and shortcomings, to further take action about the same. I have also published a Review article in
the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research and currently working on a study of women empowerment based upon the data by NFHS-India.
I have been appreciated for my presentation skills in various webinars, presentations, etc by faculty and colleagues.
Being a student of healthcare management and working with Child Survival India in my early 20s clearly reflect my keen interest in areas of
social welfare and public health management as a core of my career goals.
Given the opportunity to do this internship in a foreign country would enhance my HR management skills for social welfare and hence help me
contribute more to public well-being. As this position would let me work with Refugees in Denmark, I would get more experience in identifying
gaps and problems faced by them, as well as enhance my approach to problem-solving. I will incorporate my learnings for my future job roles.
My aspirations align with the position's roles, i.e to make efforts for making the world a better place to live for the ones in need. Given the
opportunity, I will be given the lens to dive into a clearer picture and not just the big picture scenarios of social issues persisting there, will learn
a lot from the experts and colleagues from different locations of the world. Everything I will learn and see will help me grow and develop new
skillsets to be a more resourceful person in the future for whatever cause I would be working for.
Hence, I would be really grateful if given the opportunity and ensure to put in best efforts as well as inculcate maximum learnings.
