light blue thread. With a new thread, repeat step for the other body. Cut off any excess back strip.
3. Overcast stitch the underbelly and body together with light blue thread, going from point A to B, C,
D, and back to A. Remember to insert 2 flippers between the body and underbelly. Add stuffing before

Narwhal Outfit Instructions
2. Overcast stitch the 2 side edges of the horn together with grey thread to form a cone shape. Add stuffing
before sewing the base on. Next, gently twist a white thread (double‐threaded) around the horn. Start at
point A, with the knot hidden on the inside, and twist upward and counter‐clockwise around the horn.
Finish with a knot at point B.

4. Overcast stitch 5 stripes onto 1 lifesaver piece with red thread. Note that you only need to sew sides
A‐B and C‐D for each stripe, as shown below. Then, switching to white thread, stack 2 lifesavers and
overcast stitch around. Start with the inner circle, then the outer. Add stuffing as you sew so the
plumpness will be even.

If you want the whale to have a permanent outfit or appearance, sew/glue on the pieces you like.
Otherwise, dress your whale according to your mood!
