IFS SERIES

INTERNALLY-FED ROTARY SCREENS

IFS Series of Internally-fed Rotary Screens is the most versatile unit, applied on
FEATURES high flows with heavy solids loading for industrial wastewaters. The IFS features
• TEFC motor and gear drive a modular design, with components bolted to a heavy duty base structure. The
• 304 or 316 stainless steel construction screen cylinder can be wedgewire, perforated plate or fine mesh. The cylinder
• UHMW polyethylene trunnions rotates horizontally on four trunnion wheels and is driven by a TEFC gearmotor and
shaft-mounted on pillow block bearings corrosion resistant chain and sprocket arrangement.
• internal flights
• external spray bar METHOD OF OPERATION
OPTIONS The influent enters a headbox, which extends 2/3 the length of the drum, where
the flow is evenly distributed onto the sidewalls of the drum. Solids are retained on
• support legs & solids chute
the screen surface as the liquid flows radially through the openings. Splash guards
• control panel
direct the liquid filtrate to a central drainage area, and the solids are transported
• drainage pan
axially, by flights, to the open end of the drum. The rotation of the drum allows
• vapour enclosure
the entire screening surface to be continuously or intermittently washed by a fixed
• internal spray bar
external spray bar fitted with a bank of fan jet spray nozzles.
• chain oiler
• mesh lined drum
• VFD
