Amorphous color testing Procedure – Hunter method

1. Take 25 g of amorphous chips in the crystallizing dish.

2. Keep the dish in the oven at temperature of 150 C.

3. Keep the sample in oven for 30 minutes.

4. After 30 minutes, take the sample out from oven and allow it to cool in atmosphere.

5. Let the sample cool to ambient temperature.

6. After cooling, take the sample in the measuring cup and just shake the cup for samples to

settle and avoid any gaps.

7. Keep the measuring cup in the measuring chamber of colorimeter.

8. The parameter of colorimeter is set to be Hunter Mode and ensure 30 minutes warm up

already

9. Press enter and record the L, a, b value.

10. Repeat the color checking for 4 times.

11. collect the all results to find the average value and report.
