Luminous Power Technologies is an Indian power and Energy Storage

Company with a global presence, delivering high quality Inverters, UPS,
Batteries and Renewable Energy Products. It is an ISO 9001:2000
certified company. It is a flagship company and the part of SAR group of
companies.

SAR group of industries were founded by Mr. Rakesh Malhotra in 1988.

It is a Delhi based company which started with marketing and
distribution of DB UPS and storage batteries. They were into lubricants
business also for some time.

SAR group of companies have diversified presence in different

businesses like packaged power solutions, IT infrastructure solutions,
Appliances, Power conditioning &electrical distribution solution,
Software solutions and adventure, tourism & holidays.

Manufacturing Facilities

Inverter factory

India
Luminous has the India's largest Inverter and UPS manufacturing facilities. Located in the foothills of
Himalayas at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

This factory has over 43,000 sq meters of land with covered area of 12,000 sq meters with an
installed capacity of 2.5 million inverters a year. This factory is equipped with in-house PCB line and
high-end transformer manufacturing with CNC Coil winding, Core filling machine and Vacuum
Impregnation plant. The components are mounted through Japanese automatic high speed insertion
machines and surface mounting technology machines onto the PCB's supported by modern wave
soldering machines, with high fillet nozzles, in-circuit testing and many ATEs (Automatic Test
Equipments). The assembly section is supported by five automated assembly lines and material
feeding conveyors.

Luminous quality assurance system is focused to deliver products of globally competitive quality.
Luminous quality control systems like IQC, PQC, OQC and ELT are enforced to meet globally
recognized quality standards continuously.

China
Luminous operates with manufacturing facilities in Southeast China, in Guangdong province,
manufacturing UPS for the global markets. These facilities are controlled by our well experienced
Quality Assurance Engineers placed onsite to implement Luminous quality assurance processes in
the manufacturing facilities. These facilities have an installed capacity of .6 million units per annum.

Battery Factory

India
The Luminous battery manufacturing facility is build over 43,000 sq meters of land with covered
area of 12,000 sq meters with an installed capacity of 1 million KW hr. Luminous is amongst the
world's most focused manufacturers of Deep Cycle Flooded Batteries. Our products have favorable
life cycle performance i.e at par with the leading manufacturers of the world. Luminous has
mastered the manufacturing technology and processes for making Deep Cycle Battery through
relentless focus on process control and product testing leading to swift improvement in life cycle.
This state of art facility is equipped with latest manufacturing machines from Europe and U.S like
Large capacity Micro Processor based Oxide Mills, Automated high speed assembly line with micro
processor controlled inter cell welding, electrical continuity checking, box and lid heat sealing,
pressurized leak testing and impedance testing machines.

China
Luminous produces VRLA batteries in its highly integrated manufacturing facilities, in Guangdong
province of Southeast China, to cater the global markets. Highly experienced Quality Assurance
Engineers are deputed onsite to implement Luminous quality assurance processes in these facilities.
These facilities have an installed capacity of 1.5 Kilo Watt hours per annum.
