ART APPRECIATION
ART TALK
Good morning sir, I’m Clyde Saladaga and now I will initiate my art talk
As I encountered Art Appreciation, I learned there are elements and
principles that go into creating and appreciating art. Line, shape, form, volume, mass, value, space, color, time and motion are the elements. First, I had to come to an understanding of what defines art. I found there is no simple definition to define art. Art is an expression of our thoughts, emotions, intuitions, and desires, but it is even more personal than that it's about sharing the way we experience the world, which for many is an extension of personality. It is the communication of intimate concepts that cannot be faithfully portrayed by words alone. Art is tough, art is anything that stirs emotion in you, it is about all your personal experience and the meaning you draw from it. I have so many learnings as I do the different performance activity of art, the perspective, monochromatic color or coffee painting, assemblage, motif design and decorative design. Of course I do face a lot of challenges and struggles since I am not that good in art but once you put more time, effort and willingness in it you will see the outcome how beautiful an artwork was. As they said beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. However, when it comes to artistic expression, truly magnificent masterpieces do not necessarily have to be pretty. Instead, the beauty of an artwork is closely linked to its ability to stimulate emotions within us. It is the artist’s potential to successfully communicate a wide variety of thoughts and feelings that make art beautiful. Art stills our deep longing for rhythm, balance, and harmony. When combined, these three elements form beautiful artworks that please our senses. At the same time, art celebrates the artist’s triumph at manifesting their ideas and giving their creativity a shape. As much as we all appreciate the beauty of art, it is truly difficult to express how artworks make you feel. In fact, words alone are not enough to describe what art communicates to us. As such, putting your deep affection for art to paper can prove to be quite a challenge. And in this art appreciation gives relevance that helps open up the mindset of the people, by listening to different perspectives and views as well as interpretations of the art, it encourages thoughtful conversation and the understanding that there is more than one approach to everything.
And that would be all for my art talk sir. Thank You.
