The term “HALINA” is a tagalog word meaning “to go” or “let’s go” which represents the
business’ enthusiasm and encourages the customers to travel and go. Hence the name of
“HALINA Travel and Tours” is located at 26 Anonas Street, Project 2 Quezon City. The group
has chosen this location because even though the business operates mainly online, we
considered the accessibility of the office to walk-in customers as well as the employees of
the firm. Since the location is along one of the main roads in Quezon City, public utility
vehicles to and from Quezon City passes by right in front of the office.

People are claiming that this is the golden era for Philippine Tourism. This became possible
because of the extensive road projects by the government in different provinces in the
country that makes them more accessible to tourists who prefer to travel by land. Also, with
social media applications such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter being a part of almost
every Filipino, young or old, it makes it easier to see and read about other people’s travel
adventure and share your own as well. One who sees another person’s post on social media
encourages him/her to travel also and enjoy the experience first-hand, then he/she will also
post about her own experiences and the cycle of encouragement to travel will go on and on.
That is the power of social media and that is what we want to take advantage of as
businessmen. This survey from Philippine Statistics Authority only proves that Domestic
Tourism is the new thing especially in the working population of the Philippines.

Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay City, Pasig, Pateros, Quezon City, San

total population of 12,877,253 which is composed of 68.89% of the economically active
population and actual or potential members of the work force. This gives us a rough figure
of our main and specific target market of 8,871,449 active/working population.

establishments, colleges, hospital and church. This makes it perfect for the walk-in
customers to reach and locate the office easily since it is situated near Anonas LRT

The target market of Halina Travel and Tour is mainly the working and active
population of National Capital Region who travel in Luzon at least once a year via
land. This is to be achieved by online transactions through social media platforms
and also personal transactions done in the office.
Since it’s not possible for the proponents to study the whole 8,871,449 working
population of the NCR, we resorted to gather a specific sample using the “Slovin’s

It is important for the proponents to know if the business is feasible to its chosen target

industry.

potential customers more often. The firm will definitely join the trend of these extensive
marketing programs by allotting Php 15,000/month budget for the said programs. This

Instagram, and other different ways. To be able to achieve this, these are the practices that
HALINA Travel and Tours will take for the Marketing Program:

personnel will be handing out flyers to busy streets and places where people
usually wait for PUVs such as LRT Stations and the like.
This will be the most extensive program among others because social media has
become a huge part of every Filipino nowadays, we will take advantage of that
fact to reach more potential clients in different areas. Social Media Applications
reach a wide range of clients with minimum efforts, we only need catchy
captions and encouraging photos to maximize the use of the tool. These are
sample promotional photos that will be posted and boosted in Facebook and
