The students will make a narrative report about the company. Please be guided for the format
below.

II. Historical background of the business/ nature of the business


Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company
headquartered in Cupertino, California, that designs, develops, and sells
consumer electronics, computer software, and online services. Apple Inc. was
created on April 1st 1976 by the founders Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and
Ronald Wayne. It has come a long way since then and is now one of the
world’s leading electronic companies.

III. Description of the products/services of the company (what kind of business


and products they have)
Apple products are what Apple Inc. is all about. These includes:
MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, iMac, Mac Pro, OS X Mountain,
Lion (desktop operating system), iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Touch (all 5
generations), iPod Classic, iPhone (up until latest iPhone 13), iPad Mini, iPad
2, iPad 3, iPad with Retina Display, iTunes, iCloud etc.
Apple services are known to be more helpful than other companies. They
provide many options to solve any issues with their product or order.
• The first way that Apple provides help is with Online Technical
Support. This support is found on the website:
http://www.apple.com/ca/support/. This site includes: Manuals, video
tutorials, software updates, help with technology requirements and a
chance to communicate with other Apple users to solve common
problems.
• The next option for technical support is Phone Technical Support
• Apple Store Customer Service is another form of help Apple provides for
their customers. Customers can find online help with purchasing,
shipping, returns and changing your orders.
• There is also the option of Apple Store Help.

IV. Target clientele (who are the clients or customers of the company)
• Teenagers are considered one of Apple Inc.'s target markets. Teenagers
use iPods for many reasons. Some of these reasons are to socialize with
friends, listen to music and go on Facebook, MSN, twitter etc. There are
also many gaming apps that appeal to them. iPods have become quite a
trend with teenagers.
• College and university students are also targeted by Apple Inc. These
students use Apple Inc. products such as iPad's, MacBook's, iPhone's etc.
to quickly record notes. These notes are kept organized in their devices.
Also, these products are light which makes carrying devices to and from
school much easier.
• Business people are very intrigued by Apple products. All Apple devices
(iPhone's, iPad's, MacBook's etc.) have a business quality that is very
useful. These devices are used to finish work efficiently and to
communicate with clients easily. In addition, sending documents is easy
and organized.
• Apple products are also useful to young children and kids. The reason
for this is that devices such as iPods and iPads are easy to use due to their
touch screen quality which is good for children. Parents can download
learning game apps on Apple devices to teach young children and kids.
• Adults are also one of Apple Inc.'s target markets. iPhones are useful to
adults for their everyday needs such as phone calls, map directions,
internet connection, documents and cameras. Carrying these small devices
makes adults lives much easier for communicating daily.
