AIM OF EXPERIMENT:-Stress and deflection analysis of 2D truss using finite element package.
Finite Element Package: ANSYS 19.0
Stress distribution in a 2D truss with applied load.
Consider a truss as shown in fig. given below. On node 2 loads are 25kN (rightward
direction) and 15kN (upward direction) while on node 3 contains 75kN (downward
direction).Modulus of elasticity 200GPa & Poisson’s ratio of 0.25, 0.29, 0.3 respectively.
Case 1) A1 = A2 =A3 =400mm2
Case 2) A1=400mm2, A2=300mm2, A3=200mm2.
