    purpose for the
    lesson:
    Now class, if you need a new dress or polo for a party and there is
    no money to buy an expensive one, what will you tell your
    mother? (Well sir, I would tell my mother that we will buy the
    dress or polo at the ukay – ukay where fashionable clothes can be
    bought at very low price.) Very Good! Family values can greatly
    affect the resources of the family.
    C. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1:

    The teacher will discuss how to manage family resources:

    How to manage family resources efficiently?


    1. Inform all the family members of the family
    about the budget.
    2. Make adjustment to your budget as
    necessary. Keep within the amount allocated
    for budget items.
    3. Choose a simple lifestyle that you can
    sustain with your earnings.
    4. Buy only things that are needed.
    5. Schedule your expenses.
    6. Follow a shopping and marketing schedule.
    7. Avoid making unscheduled, unplanned
    purchased especially at a store you're not
    familiar with.
    8. Teach the students to spend their allowance
    wisely.
    9. Conserve energy and other utilities.
    10. Recycle or reuse materials.
    11. Repair appliances and furniture as needed.
    12. Take good care of your belongings.
    13. Buy products that are of good quality and
    reasonable price.
    14. Develop the habit of walking short
    distances.
    D. Finding applicable applications of concepts and skills in daily
    living:

    1. Each group will be given materials. Manila Paper, Strips of
    Cartolina, Glue.
    2. On the strips of cartolina. Write at least 5 ways on how to
    manage family resources and also, 5 not a way of how to
    manage family resources.
    3. Each groups will paste the strips of cartolina under the column
    of ways how to manage family resources, or not a way of how
    to manage family resources.
    E. Finding the practical applications of concepts and skills in
    daily living:
    ____ 1. Only the Mother and Father of the family will know about
    the budget of the family.
    ____ 2. Make adjustment to your budget as necessary. Keep within
