Nitrogen Filling
The N2 gas is filled from the bottom connection, 1/8 inch NPT type, item 22 in the drawing. The
pressure transmitter is instead connected to the upper connection, also item 22 in the drawing,
1/8 inch NPT type. The pressure indicator could be installed together optionally.
When there is a leakage, for example on the sealing between tank and intermediate part, the
pressure will instantly drop to the tank pressure and the transmitter will trigger an alarm.
The natural gas will not leave the intermediate part because the second sealing.
If the leakage is on the upper sealing between intermediate part and atmosphere, the pressure
will instantly drop to atmosphere pressure and the transmitter will trigger an alarm.
The natural gas is still in the tank since the first sealing is sound.
[Figure 1]
Interrupt the electric power supply in case of LNG leakages and restore the seal before re-start.
Before commissioning and during the periodical maintenance operations it is necessary to brush
oxidation.
The minimum temperature in direct contact with the lower part of the electrical connector cannot
be lower than -
