    Hello!

    My name’s Natalie and I’m eleven years old. This is my favourite


    singer. Her name is Ariana Grande and she’s very famous. She is 26
    years old and she’s from the USA. She isn’t very tall. She has brown
    eyes and brown hair. Ariana sings all around the world. She can
    dance too. She has lots of songs and she’s very popular. She’s
    fantastic!

    Unit 2

    My weekend

    Hi! I’m George. At the weekend, I do different sports and I have


    lots of free-time activities, too.
    Every Saturday morning, I play football. I kick the ball and I
    sometimes score a goal! I play computer games with my brother in
    the afternoon. In the evening, I watch TV with my family.
    On Sunday mornings, I play basketball with my friends. In the
    afternoon, I sometimes ride my bike in the park. In the evening, I
    listen to music. That’s my favourite hobby.
    At night, I do my homework!

    Unit 3

    Hello Julia,

    How are you?

    This is a photo of my town, Brighton. Brighton is in England and it’s


    a beautiful place. It’s a busy town and there’s lots to do here. I love
    it!

    Brighton is next to the sea, and you can walk into the sea along a
    special place called Brighton Pier! I’m lucky because my house is
    near the sea. There are lots of shops, cafés and restaurants in
    Brighton too.

    Why don’t you come and see me in the holidays? We can walk along
    the pier!

    Hi Tony!

    Thanks for your email. Here is a photo of my school. Do you like it?
    I’ll tell you more about it.

    I’m in Year 6 and I study lots of subjects. I like geography because


    I like learning about different places. I also like music because I
    enjoy playing musical instruments. Maths is my favourite subject
    because I like numbers.

    There’s a playground and a computer room at my school. We play


    football and basketball in the playground, but we can’t play
    computer games in the computer rooms. We have to do a lot of
    homework for school, but we have lots of fun there too!

    Unit 5

    Dear Diary,

    Yesterday, I wanted to make a pizza for my friends because we


    wanted to play computer games and then have a pizza.

    First, I looked at the recipe and I put some flour, some salt and
    some water in a bowl. Then I mixed everything together and put it
    on a baking tray. After that, I put some tomato sauce and some
    cheese on it.

    My friends and I played computer games for an hour. Then it was


    time to cook the pizza. I cooked it for ten minutes and then I took it
    out of the oven.

    Finally, I sliced the pizza and gave my friends a piece. It was


    amazing! My friends and I were very happy!
