TRAINING PROGRAM PROPOSAL


I. Program Title:
SCHOOL BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING ON UTILIZATION OF ICT APPLICATION FOR
ENRICHING LEARNING DELIVERY MODALITIES 2021-2022
II. Background and Rationale:
“Since education is as precious as gold and as important as life, let no one hinder and stop
anyone or anybody from acquiring it.” Although this line has long been told by an anonymous
writer, nevertheless it seemed quite true to modern-day educators. We still manage to continue
education despite the threat of COVID ’19 pandemic crisis.
This is clearly evident in the DepEd Order No. 29, s.2021(School Calendar and Activities for
School Year 2021-2022) the Department of Education reiterates the conduct of School-Based In-
Service Training for Teachers (INSET). This is one of the important endeavors of the Department
of Education in helping its front liners (the teachers) on how to prepare a catch-up plan and
activities under the Distance Learning Modality.
A DJ Garbiles Sr. Elementary School is located at Barangay Sagrada, Pili, Camarines Sur. It
is about 4 kilometers away from the district office. The school is a complete elementary with 5
teachers under the supervision of a Teacher-in-Charge. Due to the global health crisis and the new
normal that we are still trying to adapt and survive from, we are struggling on the following
dilemma:

 Teaching strategies on distance learning modality;


 Developing pupils’ reading skills and comprehension;
 Positive use of ICT to facilitate the teaching and learning process during MDL
 Managing stress of teachers
III. Values:
Empathy, Compassion, Commitment, Resourcefulness, Creativity, Innovativeness, Resiliency
IV. Competencies:

 Applied a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and creative thinking, as well
as other higher order thinking skills(PPST 1.5)
 Ensured positive use of ICT to facilitate the teaching and learning process (PPST 1.3.2)
 Used differentiated, developmentally appropriate learning experiences to address
learners’ gender, needs, strengths, interests and experiences (PPST 3.1)
 Established safe and secure learning environments to enhance learning through the
consistent implementation of policies, guidelines, and procedures (PPST 2.1)
V. Objectives:

At the end of the training program, the participants are expected to have:

 knowledge on the teaching approaches, methods, techniques, and strategies on


teaching and developing creativity and critical thinking on modular distance learning
 knowledge on the instructional design for self-directed modules and activity sheets
and construction of Localized and Contextualized Learning Materials
 knowledge on activities ensuring positive use of ICT to facilitate the teaching and
learning process during MDL
 awareness on managing teaching stressors
VI. Outputs:
The following are the outputs: activity sheets based on the teaching strategies discussed,
reading remediation and reading assessments, learning materials done through the utilization of
ICT, constructed localized and contextualized learning materials.
VII. Mode of Delivery/Duration/Level of Management:
It is going to be a School-based Formal Face-to-Face (F3) training provided to target
beneficiaries on January 31, 2022, to February 4, 2022

Implementation
Face-to-Face:
1. Training be conducted as scheduled (please see enclosed matrix) All participants were
required to pass all the activities given by each discussant. Some of the activities were the
budget of work, reflection, essays, insights, KWL chart and documentation of the role play. The
participants submitted all the required outputs.
Post-Implementation
1. Assessment of evaluation
2. Preparation of accomplishment report

3. Monitoring and evaluation through class observation


VIII. Strategies:
The proponent under the supervision of the School Head shall request technical assistance
from EPS, trainer-facilitators and together with the support of the teachers and stakeholders, shall
pursue the activities of the In-Service Training for the School Year 2021-2022.
The training program will be carried out thru PowerPoint Presentations by the discussants
and workshops as well.

The target participants are the five teachers of A DJ Garbiles Sr Elementary School

accomplished by the participants and members of the monitoring team.
