    APPLICATION

    Topic: Other member of the Solar System: Comets, Meteors, Asteroids

    Grade Level 6

    Learning Competencies:

    1. Compare and contrast Comets, Meteors, Asteroids

    2. Predict the appearance of comets based on recorded data of previous apperances, and

    3. Explain the regular occurrence of meteor showers.

    ENGAGE

    Will show the students pictures that only found in the universe and identify each picture.

    Picture 1. Sun Picture 2. Earth

    Picture 3. Asteroids Picture 4. Comet

    Picture 5. Meteor Picture 6. Asteroids belts

    EXPLORE

    Students will be given written worksheets to be completed about the planets and other bodies in the
    solar system to practice the material they learned. Also, students will do verbal/kinesthetic activities to
    help solidify knowledge.

    EXPLAIN

    There are some other bodies which revolve around the Sun. They are also members of the solar system.
    Let us learn about some of them.

    Will group the students into 4 groups then you will illustrate through a diagram the members of the
